INTRODUCTION
In two years that we faced on the battle of DC COVID-19, there are many changes in every
person's lives, and not only some but most of us in the whole world. When the pandemic of the
COVID-19 come, we need faced mask, we need to wash our hands as needed, use alcohol,
System on Educational mater also changed. Many aspects on it have a big change, and
some Students are really don't know how to cope up with this changes, their readiness in the
new normal school settings is not totally good. Students, readiness is important to consider since
it affects positively, not only learning out come in school but also internal efficiency by reducing
repetition and early dropout, thus contributing to more students reaching the end of school. The
idea of encouraging students readiness aims and making a smooth transition from early
childhood, pre-primary and primary, secondary school and college and to enable students to gain
competencies which could help to be more prepared. All grade 7 student need to be careful with
this virus because they can be infected with the symptoms of COVID-19 and in order for them to
go to school properly they must follow the protocol such as wearing a face mask and you must
be moderately far from the person you are talking, with a distance of 1 meter and you must have
in this integrated approach. The idea is to prepare schools for students and to prepare parents
and children for school. This requires bringing continuity between students home environments
and school programmes, and to ensure smooth transition from one setting to the other.
One important factor to stress about school readiness is the fact that learning outcomes are
linked to students physical and socioemotional well-being. It is this important to pay attention to
nutrition, protection, hygiene and health of children but also of their mother, from the pregnancy
stage and during the early years, where the foundations are built and developmental outcomes
One of the most affected is the educational sectors. The COVID-19 pandemic is still
existent today, and there are no specific vaccines or medicines to eradicate this disease. We
need to live to the new normal:if not contained, we need to live with the disease as viruses are
constantly evolving (Denworth, 2020). However, scientists are still on their way in studying and
developing vaccines and presently in clinical trials (Cortegiani et al., 2020; Dong et al., 2020;
Gautret et al., 2020).For almost two pandemic months, most countries around the world have
temporarily closed educational institutions to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and
reduce infections (UNESCO, 2020).Disclosure has affected more than 1.2 billion learners
worldwide with more than 28 million learners in the Philippines (UNESCO, 2020).Responses
like community lockdown and community quarantine of several countries have led students and
teachers to study and work from home which led to the delivery of online learning platforms
(Crawfordet al.,2020). However, the implementation of online learning pose different risks,
problems and challenges to both the teachers and students, especially in the higher education
institutions (HEIs) (Bao,2020). In the Philippines, there are 10,794 cases as of May 11, 2020
and is still increasing (DOH, 2020) with more than four million cases worldwide (Worldometer,
2020). In response to these situations, educational leaders decided to adopt the new normal in
education. At the basic education, the Department of Education (DepEd) will be implementing
the Learning Continuity Plan (LCP), which will be in effect School Year 2020-2021 and classes
will open on August 24, 2020 instead of June 2020 (DepEd, 2020). In the higher education
sector, the Commission on Higher Education, HEIs were given academic freedom and should
implement available distance learning, e-learning, and other alternative modes of delivery to
students (CHED, 2020). Several universities have opted to implement their own policies
regarding instruction and opening of classes starting August 2020. It will be the new normal in
education and strengthening educational planning and health is a concern to provide quality,
inclusive and accessible education for every student. Hence, this review paper has been

The major concept of this study is focused on the problems encountered of GRADE 7
students in face to face classes in the new normal at peñarrubia integrated school in the school

This chapter primarily includes the ideas and different understanding about the new
normal of the grade 7 students of Peñarrubia integrated school. Those that were included this
chapter help to know the different experience of the students in the new normal. This related in

The present COVID-19 Jose Z Tria (2020), Pandemic has brought extraordinary
challenges and has affected the educational sectors, and no one knows when it will end. Every
country is presently implementing plans and procedures on how to contain the virus, and the
infections are still continually rising. In the educational context, to sustain and provide quality
education despite lockdown and community quarantine, the new normal should be taken into
consideration in the planning and implementation of the “new normal educational policy”. This
article presents opportunities for responding issues, problems and trends that are currently
arising and will arise in the future due to COVID-19 pandemic through the lens of education in
According to Aris Ignacio (2021) The COVID-19 pandemic brought great disruption to
all aspects of life specifically on how classes were conducted both in an offline and online mode.
The sudden shift to purely online method of teaching and learning was a result of the lockdowns
that were imposed by the Philippine government. While some institutions have dealt with the
situation by shutting down operations, others continued to deliver instructions and lessons using
the Internet and different applications that support online learning. The continuation of classes
online had caused several issues from students and teachers ranging from lack of technology to
mental health matters. Finally, recommendations were asserted to mitigate the presented
concerns and improve the delivery of the necessary quality education to the intended learners.
Furthermore, the education system has faced an unprecedented health crisis that has
shaken up its foundation. Given today’s uncertainties, it is vital to gain a nuanced understanding
of students’ online learning experience in times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although many
studies have investigated this area, limited information is available regarding the challenges and
the specific strategies that students employ to overcome them. Thus, this study attempts to fill in
the void. Using a mixed-methods approach, the findings revealed that the online learning
challenges of college students varied in terms of type and extent. Their greatest challenge was
linked to their learning environment at home, while their least challenge was technological
literacy and competency. The findings further revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic had the
greatest impact on the quality of the learning experience and students’ mental health. In terms
of strategies employed by students, the most frequently used were resource management and
environment control. Implications for classroom practice, policy-making, and future research are
discussed.
Jessie S. Barrot et al (2021), Education and the COVID-19 pandemic .In December
2019, an outbreak of a novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, occurred in China and has
spread rapidly across the globe within a few months. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused
by a new strain of coronavirus that attacks the respiratory system (World Health Organization,
2020). As of January 2021, COVID-19 has infected 94 million people and has caused 2 million
deaths in 191 countries and territories (John Hopkins University, 2021). This pandemic has
created a massive disruption of the educational systems, affecting over 1.5 billion students. It
has forced the government to cancel national examinations and the schools to temporarily
close, cease face-to-face instruction, and strictly observe physical distancing. These events
have sparked the digital transformation of higher education and challenged its ability to respond
promptly and effectively. Schools adopted relevant technologies, prepared learning and staff
resources, systems and infrastructure, established new teaching protocols, and adjusted their
curricula. However, the transition was smooth for some schools but rough for others, particularly
those from developing countries with limited infrastructure (Pham & Nguyen, 2020; Simbulan,
2020).
Charlene L Secuya, Mark N Abdiano (2022) To ensure that all students continue to get a
high-quality, inclusive, and equitable education in the face of the epidemic, educators have a
significant duty. Modular learning has emerged as the most popular distant learning method
because it.

face-to- face classes in the new normal. The questionnaire for the descriptive survey was
developed by the researchers. The questionnaire is composed of 15 items to gather the needed
information.
The first part is the profiles of the students in terms of gender and age then the second part
is the problems encountered by the respondent in the conduct of face-to-face classes in the new
normal. This study was conducted in Peñarrubia, Integrated, School at Poblacion, Peñarrubia,
Abra. The respondents of this study were the whole Grade 7 students of Peñarrubia, Integrated,
School of the school year 2022-2023. The students have 124 enrollees,46 female and 76 male.
The data gathering instruments that we used was to gather the Junior High school Grade
7's profile is Likert scale. The researchers used a questionnaire that was drawn to be much
more effective on the type of research that we are having. The researchers also used this
method of data gathering for it is known to have less bias and the least expensive way of
related to our study to also avoid any kind of bias in the method of collecting this data. It
also encourages the respondents to be more cooperative due to the fact that it is much more
comfortable to respond and much open to options but still related and specific to our type of
answers from the questionnaires, it will be determined and analyzed what are the real problems
faced by the students during the pandemic and what will be the effect on them. Whatever the
the answers of the respondents will be analyzed by the researchers. This is where the
respondent's answers needed to analyze the data will be known and seen. The results of the
