Seed Drill: A seed drill is a machine used for sowing seeds uniformly at proper depth
and distance. It helps in efficient use of seeds and ensures uniform germination. For
example, a farmer might use a seed drill to plant wheat seeds in rows at a specific
depth and spacing, maximizing crop yield.

2. Planter: A planter is a farm implement designed for planting seeds into the soil. It can
be manually operated or attached to a tractor. For instance, a farmer might use a
corn planter to plant maize seeds in rows at a consistent depth and spacing, optimizing
the planting process.

3. Dibble: A dibble is a pointed tool used for making holes in the soil for planting seeds or
seedlings. Gardeners often use dibbles to transplant seedlings or plant small seeds.
For example, a gardener might use a dibble to make holes in the soil for planting
flower bulbs or vegetable seedlings in a garden bed.

4. Transplanter: A transplanter is a machine used for transplanting seedlings from a

nursery to the field. It can speed up the process of planting large quantities of
seedlings while reducing labor costs. For instance, in a rice paddy field, farmers might
use a rice transplanter to transplant rice seedlings from a nursery to the flooded field,
ensuring efficient and timely planting.

5. Broadcast Seeder: A broadcast seeder is a device used for spreading seeds evenly
over a large area. It is commonly used for sowing grass seeds, cover crops, or small
grains. For example, a farmer might use a broadcast seeder attached to an ATV or
tractor to sow clover seeds over a pasture or to establish a cover crop in between
rows of cash crops, promoting soil health and erosion control.
