MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU)

This Memorandum of Understanding is signed between the Department of


…………… of Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College (Autonomous), Sivakasi (hereafter
named Party 1) and ----------------------------------------- (name of the industry) (hereafter
named Party 2) on ----- day, the -------- date of ------ Month of the year ------.

Party 1 is represented by …………….. in the capacity of ……………, Department of


…………, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College (Autonomous), Sivakasi.

The two parties hereby mutually agree upon and place on record their signature on
this document with their full conscious understanding and acceptance in the matters
mentioned as given below.
Party 1 shall provide support and collaboration to Party 2 in matters pertaining and related
to

 Research and consultancy by way of willingness to undertake research and


consultancy work as required by Party 2
 Extension work by way of willingness to conduct development and training
programmes for the employees in areas as identified and required by Party 2

Party 2 shall provide support and collaboration to Party 1 in matters pertaining and related
to

 Curriculum Development of the Department by way of willingness to participate in


the Board of Studies as Industrial expert
 Internship by way of willingness to intake students and provide them practical
knowledge and guidance as required for the internship programme for the duration as
specified by Party 1
 ‘On the Job’ Training by way of willingness to intake students and provide them with
practical knowledge and guidance as required for the ‘On the Job’ Training
programme for the duration as specified by Party 1
 Factory Visits by way of willingness to permit students of Party 1 to visit the Industry
as and when requested by the Party 1 at the convenience of Party 2
 Student placement by way of willingness to recruit from students of Party 1 who are
suitable and worthy of selection by the Party 2 as and when suitable requirements
arise in the industry of Party 2.

Terms and Conditions

 There is no financial commitment between the Party 1 and Party 2. If there is any
financial consideration, both Party 1 and Party 2 will discuss and finalize at the time
of execution
 For the visit related to advice and consultancy, travel and other expenses shall be met
by the respective Party
 Both Party 1 and Party 2 are responsible to obtain all internal approvals, consents,
permissions and licenses of whatsoever nature required

Intellectual Property

Nothing contained in this MoU shall, by express grant, implication, Estoppel or


otherwise create in either party any right, title, interest or license in or to the intellectual
property (including but not limited to knowhow inventions, patents, copy rights & designs) of
the other party.

Validation Period

This MoU is valid for a period of Five Years from …(signing date)………… to
