All persons involved in commissioning, maintaining and

servicing the device must:

• Always disconnect the device from the supply before removing the cover

The device is not to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been

Disposal

In accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste

and disposal system. Failure to comply with this EU Directive
may result in a negative impact on the environment.
INSTALLATION
We would advise that the QUBEV be installed by a qualified
electrician in accordance with local regulations.

Step-By-Step Guide

1. Remove the QUBEV from the packaging.

2. Cut the fixing template from the packaging.
3. Offer the QUBEV fixing template up onto a flat and smooth surface,
ensuring it is level, and mark the 4 fixing holes onto the surface.
4. Drill 4 x marked fixing holes and insert wall plugs.
5. Undo the 4 x front cover fixing screws at each corner of the QUBEV.
6. Cut/drill out the correct sized hole in the bottom or back of the QUBEV
for your chosen cable gland.
7. Fit your chosen cable gland in place.
Tip: Please ensure at this point there is no debris inside the QUBEV.
8. Place the QUBEV in-line with the 4 x drilled fixing holes on the surface.
9. Place the washer over the screw. Screw through the back of the
QUBEV and into the 4 x wall plugs.

Tip: Ensure this is tightened and level.

10. Ensure the cable is glanded to the QUBEV by the appropriate water
resistant method, and connect to the incoming supply terminals (live,
neutral and earth).
Tip: Ensure all terminals are tightened, as it is possible the connection
may have come loose during transit and/or installation.
11. Ensure you have done all appropriate testing to current regulations.
12. Please now fix the lid of the QUBEV back to the front of the unit and
tighten all 4 corner screws to ensure it is watertight.
PLEASE NOTE: The installer should select the appropriate fault and
overload protection/RCD/RCBO and earthing configuration in
accordance with the IET Code of Practice and local regulations.
13. RCBOs for these units are available at

LED Status Indicator Guide

• Blue – Ready to charge

• Green – Charging in progress
• Red – Fault indicated. Switch off power at source for
30 seconds and switch back on to clear fault

If any of the above faults persist then contact our technical support
team at [email protected] or contact your supplier.

Ready Charging Fault

Variable Current Rating

• 6amp
• 13amp
• 16amp
• 32amp

TIP: The rotary switch to alternate

between amperages can be found on the
side of the QUBEV, clearly labelled with
current ratings – simply switch to the
position of choice.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The amperage selector CANNOT be changed when charging is

in progress. To select a different amperage you MUST release the cable from the
vehicle for 30 seconds to allow the QUBEV to register it is NOT in charge mode and
return back to BLUE on the status indicator – NOW you can alter the amperage.
Note: Please ensure the current rating does not exceed the supply rating.
Vehicle Charging

• Ensure the LED is illuminated blue

• Insert the cable into the vehicle first and
then the QUBEV socket (if a tethered
cable, insert the tethered cable into
the vehicle)
• LED will go green when charging
• To STOP charging unplug the cable from
the vehicle, and then from the QUBEV
Tip: When using any charging point ALWAYS release the cable from
the vehicle before the charging point.
To prevent water damage always plug the tethered cable into the
remote socket when not charging (only applies to tethered models).

QUBEV Maintenance

• Clean surface regularly with a damp cloth

• Visually inspect the QUBEV for any damage
• Annually electrically inspect and test the QUBEV

Happy charging!
