1. Product Overview:
The Driver ID recognition and management system developed exclusively by
Topshine will provide advanced solutions for fleet management and car anti-theft
systems. For car alarm, system just allow legal driver to engine ON and illegal driver
will be forbidden, for fleet management, it will send the driver’s ID to tracking
platform. So manager team will see which driver and what time driving the car. This
system provide high cost effective RFID solution, client needn’t to buy extra RFID kits
then achieve driver ID identify, at the same time it’s also achieved simple and
concealed installation too.

1. Online website tracking by GPRS data network or SMS
2. Harsh acceleration and harsh braking alarm
3. Fuel level monitor/steal fuel alarm/refill fuel alert
(When the tracker detects that the oil level in the tank has decreased by a set
amount within a set time, the tracker will issue an alarm message. Similarly, when
it detects that the oil level in the tank has increased to a set amount, it will also
issue a notification.)
4. Anti-GSM jamming
(When a GSM interference signal is detected, the tracker will immediately
immobilize the vehicle until the interference signal disappears or an RFID tag is
detected approaching.)
5. Anti-hijack (Need bluetooth beacon support)
(If a car hijack occurs while driving, the driver takes the Bluetooth beacon and
leaves the vehicle, and the tracker will immobilize the vehicle (Note: the condition
for immobilization is when the vehicle speed is <30km/h))

(For Bluetooth beacon: When the driver walks away from the car for about 10
meters with the Bluetooth beacon, the system will automatically arm when it
cannot detect the beacon signal. When the driver approaches the car with the
Bluetooth beacon, the system will automatically disarm when it detects the
beacon signal.
For Fingerprint or passive RFID or iButton: when engine OFF, it will ARM
automatically, when swipe legal ID tag/fingerprint, it will DISARM automatically)
10. Illegal door Open/engine ON alarm
(When in the armed state, if the door is opened or the vehicle is started illegally,
the tracker will send an alarm message and immobilize the vehicle)

 4.3.3 Relay installation

Recommend installation in car

5 First Use
Unscrew the case of MT0x, you will see the board like below showing.

5.3 Install 1# SIM card (if you have bought dual sim card version, then install 1#

 and 2# sim card).
5.4 Turn on the tracker by backup battery or external power
5.5 GSM and GPS LED light flashing status description:
GPS LED (Red)
Flashing (every 0.1 second) Initializing or back-up battery power is low
Flashing (0.1 second on and 2.9 seconds off) Device has A GPS fix
Flashing (1 second on and 2 seconds off) Device has no GPS fix
GSM LED (Green)
Flashing (every 0.1 second) Initializing
Flashing (0.1 second on and 2.9 seconds off) Device is connected to the GSM network
Flashing (1 second on and 2 seconds off) Device is not connected to the GSM network
5.6 2# SIM card
When the 1# SIM card cannot connect to the server, the tracker will automatically
switch to the 2# SIM card to try to connect to the server. If there is the same
problem, it will alternately switch between the two SIM cards until the server is
connected. The user can also Send a command to specify the use of any SIM card.

6 Setup the device online GPS tracking platform

There have two way to setup the GPRS parameters:
6.1 Configure via parameter editor
a. Install USB cable driver and select the right COM port
b. Tracker must be in OFF status, then connect USB cable and turn ON the
tracker, the parameter editor will detect it and allow to operate “Read &
Write” parameters to tracker.

6.2 Configure via SMS command

a. W000000,010,Tracker_ID
Tracker ID is Arabic numerals which <=14 bits, default ID is IMEI code
remove the first number.
b. W000000,011,APN,APN name,APN password
SIM card APN information, default APN is internet
c. W000000,012,IP,PORT
Set gps tracking platform’s IP and port information, default setting is

GPRS Time interval unit is 10 second, for example, if you want to set 1
minute (60sec) time interval, then send command W000000,014,00006
Notice: For operations on the tracking platform, please refer to the platform user
manual.
7 Mobile phone as Bluetooth RFID Operation instructions:
7.1 Enable/Disable RFID function
SMS command to enable RFID: W000000,062,1
SMS command to disable RFID: W000000,062,0
7.2 Set up RFID association relay
SMS command to enable relay: W000000,061,1
SMS command to enable relay: W000000,061,0
Notice: When MT0x detects a legal RFID tag, it will allow the engine to start,
otherwise it will prohibit starting and generate an alarm.
7.3 Mobile Phone as BT RFID tag operation
SMS Command to setup the BT name and Password
W000000,052,BT_name,BT_password
BT_name is a character string which <=15 letters.
BT_password should be <=15 Arabic digits.
When setting successfully, you will receive the reply as below:

Notice 1: Default BT name and password are MT01 and 1234

Notice 2: when system recognize driver’s ID, BT will disconnect with driver’s phone in
5 seconds and release BT channel.
Notice 3: each times engine ON, MT0x will check if there have legal RFID tag
connected, if don’t detect any tag connection, it will not allow to engine on and alarm

8 Bluetooth Beacon as BT RFID tag operation
8.1 Turn on Beacon
Type 1 Beacon
Beacon: Press power key to turn ON beacon’ss power

ON: green LED flashing 3 times
Power OFF: green LED flashing 1 times
Type 2 Beacon
Beacon: Remove the plastic sheet from the Beacon and the
Beacon will start working.

8.2 Find the Beacon Bluetooth MAC address

8.3 Send command to Pair this beacon’s MAC address as below:

Notice: we only take the last 4 digits of the MAC code as the ID number
and configure it into the tracker
SMS command example:

8.4 Configure the MAC code through the COM tool

(1) Select correct COM port
(2) Open COM
(3) Select correct baud rate 9600
(4) Write the command as left shows
P1:00000000AACC# (P1 mean NO.1 beacon, 00000000AACC mean
the MAC address, AACC is the last 4 bits of MAC, # is the end symbol)
(5) Press button 12, then it will send to tracker
(6) When tracker setup this MAC address, it will return all 5 num Beacon

9 Fingerprint configuration
9.1 Record legal fingerprints

9. Simplified SMS Commands
9.1 Stop Vehicle

Notice:: if sending this command to tracker, car will stop and it will disable
Bluetooth function too, at this status, only sending restore command to enable
Bluetooth function again.

Problem: SMS from MT0x states ‘Last……’

Possible Cause: Resolution:
Unit does not have clear view of the sky Move the antenna of the unit to a
location where the sky is visible.
MT01 is in an inner place Wait for the target to come out

Appendix 1: Edit the Parameters via parameters editor

① (Buy one specific USB cable for configuration from our Company)

② Install USB driver program for the configuration USB cable

1. Run ‘ch341ser.exe’ to install the driver for the USB data cable.
Note: CP210x_Prolific_DriverInstaller is in the folder ‘USB-232 Driver’ in the CD. Connect the USB
Data Cable between MT01 and PC.

2. Connect the configuration cable with PC, open device management of your computer,
you can find “Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm. Port “ ,as following picture shows.
The USB port is virtual comm. Port (com3) in this example,

3. Open the GPS Tracker Parameter Editor

① Connect MT01 with PC by the configuration cable
② Confirm MT01is in the Power Off states
③ Double click GPS Tracker Parameter Editor.exe and Select the COM Port, following picture
shows:

4. Click Start button to open the COM port,
5. Turn on MT01 and it will connect with the Editor automatic, As soon as they connect successful,
all the buttons are availability and the status bar will clue on’ Tracker Connect!’ , first click “Read”
to read the tracker’s parameter, when all the parameter read out, you can write the parameter
you need.
Note: “Read” button: when you click the Read button, it means Read the parameters of the
tracker.
“Write” button: when you write the parameters to the Parameter Editor, then click the
Write button, the parameters will write into the tracker.

Instruction of parameter settings:

Note: GPRS, IP, Port is the default. You must change the APN, Tracker ID;
APN: Access Point Name, if you don't know, please ask SIM operator or search APN in
Google.
Tracker ID: You should change the tracker ID. Tracker ID can be set freely by user but less than 14

digits, such as 20131122001.

After write finished, click “Write” button to configure the MT01’s Parameters. It will pop-up a
mini window, as below pictures:

Please click “Read” button again, confirm your write parameter.

When you finished the GPS Tracker Parameter Editor, then turn off the tracker, pull up the USB
cable and power off the tracker.
