i) Mr. Shah visits the market and buys a laptop bag costing Rs.1000 with a
discount of 30%, GST @ 18%. Calculate the total bill amount including GST
paid by Mr. Shah.

the mode of the data.

i) The first and last term of a Geometrical Progression (G.P.) are 3 and 96
respectively. If the common ratio is 2, find :

iii) From a solid cylinder whose height is 2.4 cm and diameter 1.4 cm, a conical
cavity of the same height and same diameter is hollowed out. Find the total
surface area of the remaining solid to the nearest cm2.

i) The angles of depression of two ships A and B as observed from the top of a
light house 60 m high are 60° and 45° respectively. If the two ships are on the
opposite sides of the light house, find the distance between the two ships.
Give your answer correct to the nearest whole number.

ii) Use graph sheet for this question. Take 2 cm = 1 unit along the axes.

i) ABCD is a cyclic quadrilateral in which BC = CD and EF is a tangent at A.


∠CBD = 43° and ∠ADB = 62°. Find: (a) ∠ADC (b) ∠ABD (c) ∠FAD

ii) Find the values of k for the equation 𝒌𝒙(𝒙 − 𝟐) + 𝟔 = 𝟎 have two equal roots.

iii) Using ruler and compass only construct ∠ABC = 60°, AB = 6 cm and
BC = 5 cm.
a) construct the locus of points equidistant from AB and BC.
b) construct the locus of points equidistant from A and B.
c) Mark the point which satisfies both the conditions (a) and (b) as P.
Hence, construct a circle with centre P and passing through A and B.
