OPERATION CHECK
INSPECT ASC SYSTEM OPERATION

CAUTION:
Check for safety before performing any tests.

HINT:
If the drive mode is changed to ECO mode while the ASC system operating, the dynamic engine sounds will
stop.

(a) Check additional engine sounds generation

(1) Start the engine.

(2) Turn the vehicle sound switch on.

(3) Select NORMAL, SPORT or CUSTOMIZE* mode.

*: w/ AVS System

HINT:
The setting for CUSTOMIZE mode can be set via the multi­information display.

(4) Move the shift lever to D or M. When the vehicle speed is 6 km/h (4 mph) or more and the engine speed is
980 rpm or more, check that additional engine sounds are generated in accordance with the engine speed.

HINT:
Check the difference in sound when the vehicle sound switch is operated.
