across your presentations.

into the data carrier in ways that cannot be easily noticed, and in which the data usage will
not be affected.

Section F (Long Answer Questions)

Q1. A PowerPoint has two methods for creating a slide presentation:

a. Choose a theme template :


To create a PowerPoint presentation using a template,
Open PowerPoint,
Select "File" > "New," then
Choose a pre-designed template from the available options, and click "Create." You can then
customize the slides with your own content, including text, images, charts, and graphs, while
maintaining the overall design style of the chosen template.

b. Create a blank presentation :


To create a PowerPoint presentation using a blank template, you can do the following:
Open PowerPoint
Select New in the left pane
Select Blank Presentation
A blank presentation has a white background and black text, and only contains a title
slide. You can add your own text by clicking on the text boxes. To add a new slide, click New
Slide and select the type of slide you want.

Q2. Select the Design tab, then Format Background. You can choose a fill type, such as solid,
gradient, or pattern, and select a color. To remove the background, select No Fill.

Q3. Open a presentation, go to the slide, select the Insert tab, and then select Text Box. You can
also press Alt + N to open the Insert tab, and then Alt + X to create a text box. Once you've inserted
a text box, you can click and drag it to position it on the slide. You can then type or paste text into
the box.
Q4. To add a slide in a PowerPoint presentation, you can do the following:

 Select the slide that you want your new slide to appear after
 Click the Home tab
 Click New Slide
 Choose a layout for your new slide
 Click Add Slide
 Click inside the placeholder to start adding content
You can also add a slide by:
 Selecting any slide and pressing Ctrl + M in Windows
 Right-clicking on any slide and choosing New Slide

Q5. There are several ways to view a presentation, including:

Normal view
 The default view for editing and designing a presentation. The Slide Pane shows the
current slide as it will appear in the slide show.
Slide Sorter view
 Displays all slides as thumbnails in a sequential order. This view is useful for adding,
deleting, or reordering slides, and for previewing transition and animation effects.
Notes Page view
 Provides hints and points to reference while delivering a presentation. Notes Pages can be
printed and used as handouts.
Reading View
 Displays the slide in full screen, but also shows the PowerPoint title band, status bar, and
Windows taskbar. The ribbon and slides/outline pane are not visible.

1. Slide transition sets the style of appearance of slides in a presentation. It is the effect
applied when a slide changes to another during on-screen presentation or slide show.

2. Animation is nothing but a sequence of images that are flipped or moved at such a high
speed that they give an effect of a motion.

3. It allows you to view a PowerPoint slide show in your browser while the presenter runs
the slide show remotely.

4. Clip art is a type of digital picture that is used for a variety of graphic design projects.
These images can be added to Office documents, brochures, or other applications.

5. A slide show is a presentation of a series of images, or slides, that are displayed on a


screen or projection device in a prearranged order. This presentation can be automatic or
manually controlled.

6. A custom slide show is a subset of slides in a presentation that can be shown to a specific
audience. It can be used to present only certain slides by hiding or rearranging slides to suit
a specific audience.

(i) Using the Size tab
Right-click the image, select Format Picture, then click the Size tab. In the Size group, you
can enter new measurements for the height and width.
 (ii) Use the corner squares
Click and drag one of the small squares in the corners of the image. To keep the image
proportionate, hold down the Shift key while dragging.

Section E : Long Answer Questions


Q1. To add an animation to an object in Microsoft PowerPoint, you can:

a. Select the object you want to animate


b. Click the Animations tab
c. Select an animation effect
You can also customize the animation effect by selecting Effect Options
Property. This allows you to choose the sequence and direction of the animation.

Q2. The options in the Start Slide Show group in Microsoft PowerPoint are:
From Beginning: Starts the presentation from the first slide
From Current Slide: Starts the presentation from the slide where the user is currently
working
Custom Slide Show: Allows the user to create a customized slide show with their choice of
slides and timing
Broadcast Slide Show: Allows the user to broadcast the presentation live to other viewers
over the web

Q3. To add audio from a file to a slide in PowerPoint, you can do the following:
1. Select Insert > Audio
2. Select Audio on My PC
3. Select the audio file you want to add in the Insert Audio dialog box
4. Select Insert
Once the audio is inserted, an audio button will appear on the slide. You can click on
the button to play the sound.
Q4. From Beginning option starts the slide show from First slide in the presentation
whereas From Current Slide option starts the show using the current slide onwards.
Q5. To crop an image in PowerPoint, you can:
1. Add the image to your PowerPoint presentation using Insert > Pictures
2. Select the image
3. Click the Picture Format tab
4. Select Crop
5. Black crop handles will appear around the image
6. Drag a crop handle inward to crop the image
7. Click away from the picture to see the cropped image

Q6. To group objects on a slide in PowerPoint, you can:


 Use the keyboard
Press and hold Ctrl while selecting the objects you want to group. You can also use the
keyboard shortcut Ctrl+G.
 Use the right-click menu
Right-click on the selected objects, hover over the Group icon, and click Group.
Once the objects are grouped, they will be selected as a single element on the slide.
