2. Software Tools - It is used to help diagnose problems, maintain hardware,


and protect data stored in a computer. These can be categorized into two
groups: Disk Management Tools and Protection Software Tools.

3. Organizational Tools – Organizational Tools are used for the documentation of


repairs that could be used as reference material for similar or other problems in the
future. These may be paper-based or in electronic form. The latter is preferred
since it is easier to access and search records.
