Instructions no later than 30 days before your embark date.
If we advised you of your joining date at short notice and you are joining in less than 30 days time please
return to us within 7 days of receiving this email.
If you do not return your signed joining instructions to us as requested your rotation will be impacted.

You are responsible for ensuring all documentation is correct and valid for the entire length of your tour of
duty. Failure to be in possession of the correct documentation on joining, will lead to you being denied
boarding and responsible for all costs incurred. Further details are enclosed.

You should ensure that your Global Talent Partner is up to date with any changes to your personal
information/ documentation.

I understand that in-order to embark I must take with me all original certificates and training records appropriate for my rank or position.
This includes certification such as:

• Valid DBS certificates for all safeguarding ranks (All Youth, all Medical, Deputy Captain and Security Officer positions)
• Certificates of Competency for Deck, Engine and ETO personnel
• All other training certification in their original format. (Examples -STCW 2010)
• Medical certificates (PEME)

No photocopies will be accepted for any certificate.

PERSONAL MEDICATION
All seafarers must ensure that they bring enough medication for their chronic medical condition to last the complete length of their
contract. Failure to do so may result in the seafarers being charged for ongoing medication, or, in the event of the medication not being
available, may be repatriated home.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
If any of the below documents show as “Not Valid” for your next tour of duty, please supply us with a scanned copy of your updated/new
documents immediately or see the attached joining information booklet for how to obtain these documents.

Passport must be valid for your entire tour of duty length plus 6 months with at least 1 blank page for visa and/or stamp.
Documents must be valid for your entire tour of duty plus 1 month.
Vaccinations if not valid need to be provided before joining. When embarking the ship for your next tour of duty you must take with you
either evidence of vaccination, or evidence of immunity against Measles, Mumps and Rubella.

Please be aware that you must obtain clearance from the shore-side medical department before joining the ship if:
• You have undergone surgery or been admitted to hospital during your leave period.
• You have undergone investigations (including routine screening) during your leave period and you have not yet
received the results.
• You have been scheduled for an operation or medical appointment and have not yet received the appointment date or
the appointment date is within your scheduled tour of duty.
• You have experienced any episode of illness during your leave that may impact your fitness to return to work.

Please note: If a seafarer fails to obtain results or fails to declare scheduled appointments before commencing a tour of duty and
subsequently needs to return home for further treatment, this would be at their own cost and sickness benefits including wages will not
be paid.
