 Teacher Directions – Apple Craft
1. Print the apple template on white cardstock. Each template sheet has
directions at the top indicating how many each student will need. If you
don’t want the students to color the templates, you can also choose to
print on colored cardstock!

2. Choose your writing template and print on regular printer paper. (Please
note – there are various options to choose from. These will be
appropriate for multiple grade levels and/or skill levels. You can print
different ones to differentiate for your students.)

3. Pass out the pieces to the students & have them color & cut out each
piece. Display the student photo directions as they work if you wish.

4. Determine a writing prompt. You can create your own after reading a
book about apples, or you can use the suggestions on the following
page.

4. Glue the pieces together to make a fun apple craft.

5. Optional – You can fold the writing template paper accordion/fan style
before glueing to make a fun foldable craft. Sometimes children struggle
with this, so they will need assistance if you choose to use this option..

6. Hang these beautiful apples up on a bulletin board or send home!

 Writing Prompt Ideas
• My favorite food or drink made from apples is…
• If I were an apple I would…
• I think apples are… because…
• My favorite color of apple is….because…

Activity Idea:
Bring different colors of apples to your students &
have them taste test each one. Have them choose
their favorite apple then create a graph together. I
like printing different color pictures of the apples &
having them choose their color. Then we create a
pictograph together on chart paper. Next, do an
apple “senses” activity using this free apple template
& paper:

 Teacher Photo Directions

Step 1: Print your templates on white Step 2: Choose your writing

have them color & cut. glue the pieces together for a fun writing craft!
