Notice

This is to inform that DAIMSR (West Campus) is organizing Quiz Competition under the banner
AAVEG on 22nd February 2025. Interested students should enrol themselves with respective
registration in-charge on or before 20th February 2024.

Timings of the competition – 12:30 noon

Venue – Seminar Hall

Participants must reach 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the event.

QUIZ COMPETITION

Date of Event – 22nd February 2025


Elimination Round –21st February 2025
Last Date of Registration: - 20th February 2025

RULES

1. Registration:
 Participation is team-based, with each team consisting of 2 members.
 Teams must register in advance. Registrations will not be allowed after 20th February
2025. (No Spot Entries shall be entertained)
2. Quiz Format:
 The quiz will consist of multiple rounds (e.g., Preliminary & Final).
 Questions will cover topics like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Science,
Business, Sports, and Entertainment.
 The quiz will be conducted in multiple formats. (written, buzzer, oral).
3. Types of Rounds:
 Preliminary/Elimination Round: Written/MCQ-based; top teams shall qualify for
the next round.
 Rapid Fire Round: Teams can answer as many questions as possible within a time
limit.
 Buzzer Round: First team pressing the buzzer gets the chance to answer. Wrong
answers may have negative marking.
 Audio-Visual Round: Questions will be based on images, videos, or audio clips.
4. Rules During the Quiz:
 Use of mobile phones, smartwatches, or any reference material is strictly prohibited.
 Teams must answer within the given 15 seconds after a question is asked.
 Discussions within the team must be kept low; loud discussions may lead to penalties.
 The quizmaster’s decision will be final and binding.
5. Disqualification Criteria:
 Any form of cheating or use of external help.
 Misconduct or disrespect towards the quizmaster or fellow participants.
 Exceeding time limits multiple times despite warnings.
6. Scoring & Judging:
 Each correct answer will be awarded points.
 Incorrect answers do not have negative marking in specific rounds.
 In case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be conducted.
7. The results of the elimination round will be declared on the same day and communicated by
the respective event faculty members.
