Reading
8 Read the text and answer the questions.
My name’s Tyler and my favorite place is New York. I go there every summer
to spend a month with my cousins David and Amanda. They live with my
uncle and aunt in a cool flat in Manhattan.
When I visit, we go to museums and take long walks in Central Park. I
especially love shopping around Times Square, where you can buy some
really cool clothes. The only thing that bothers me about New York is the
traffic. It’s awful!
The food is delicious—I miss eating the huge hamburgers and New York-
style pizza. I also enjoy going up the Empire State Building and the Statue
of Liberty. I’ve made a lot of friends, and New Yorkers are very kind.
I always have a great time with my cousins. I love New York because it’s full
of life.

a How often does Tyler go to New York?

______________________________________________________________
b What does he do in Times Square?
______________________________________________________________
c What doesn’t he like?
______________________________________________________________
d What food does Tyler miss?
______________________________________________________________
e What does Tyler think of people from New York?
