READING INTERVENTION
The intervention conducted was regular remedial reading session virtually
with the reading volunteer readers or tutors, constant follow ups, and constant
communication.

PRE-ASSESSMENT

On December 11 2024, the NNHS conducted pre-oral reading assessment


to identify the struggling reader’s that need remedial reading. Reading
volunteers/tutors and language teachers in coordination with the municipal
mayor and barangay officials with the observance of the minimum health
protocols visited the learners to assess their reading skills, levels and ability
using the reading tools that have been prepared.

The clients Baby Jene V. Abejon and Mark Ian T. Torres struggled with the
pronunciation of some words in the sentences so the school decided to have an
intervention to help them improve their reading skill and level.
DURING
On December 11 2024, Baby Jene V Abejon and Mark Ian T. Torres began
their reading session. During the remediation, it was observed that they could
read sentences but it’s difficult to read continuously due to some difficult words.
POST ASSESSMENT
It has been a week since they began their remedial reading session. It is
observed that great change have happened from them. The pronunciation of
words that they’re struggling with improved, while they could already read
sentences with few high frequency difficult words.
SIGNIFICANCE
The school reading activity entitled, READING PA MORE, catered the
reading needs of Baby Jene V. Abejon and Mark Ian T. Torres. Knowing that her
reading ability and level have greatly improved, also the program itself, a huge
help to address the reading needs of the struggling readers. Thus it improved
reading level and skill of the Baby Jene V. Abejon and Mark Ian T. Torres.
