Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hyper-growth Silicon Valley startup. In


this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies for Tekion to have an
industry-leading, innovative, insightful and scalable product.

You'll be joining a great team that works on multiple core platform technologies,
including IoT, Machine Learning, Big Data and highly available platform, etc.

You will drive towards changing the way dealerships work across the world. Which
will require your expertise and passion in continual scaling of our systems, tapping
into promising open source technologies, and designing new systems to address the
varied functional aspects of the platform.

We encourage innovative ideas and an opportunity to explore new


technologies/libraries to build scalable and stable products.

You will also be working with the Leadership team and travel to US to understand
the customer experience and their feedback on our products.

Key Responsibilities

 Create architectural designs based on product/design requirement and


implement critical high performance, large scale services and libraries
Participate in the design and implementation of next generation systems.
 Control projects from start to finish - deliverables to ensure high quality,
innovative and functional design.
 Adhere to all industry standards in code and architectural designs and
evangelize best practices in library.
 Collaborating with other professionals to determine functional and non-
functional requirements for the product development.
 Provide constructive feedback on design and product reviews.
 Collaborate with Leads/Engineers for continuous improvement of the code
quality by code review and help engineers write better code.
 Lead cross-functional initiatives working with bright engineers across
organization.
 Lead engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications using
variety of languages and tools/technology stacks.
Qualifications

 At least 6 plus years of relevant development experience


 Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills
 Experience with any one distributed nosql database. (SSD)
 Strong technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem-solving skills
 Solid understanding of 2 or more distributed databases like mongo, cassandra,
elasticearch, etc
 Solid understanding on mysql database
 Experience with architecting scalable distributed systems.
 Understanding of service-oriented architectures.
 BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
