ANSWER:
Health and safety management system is very important to remain safe and sound in this
alarming era of devastating and hazardous areas and industries.
Benefits of H&S systems:
The points that elaborate the benefits of health and safety management are:
1.Identify workplace hazards and implement controls:
The health and safety management systems help the workers to identify the workplace
hazardous areas through the use of a risk register, regular safety inspections and analyzing
workplace hazards.
2. Improved productivity:
Implementing a functioning health and safety management system is likely to boost the
overall productivity rate as the risk and danger level decreases and less workers are being
exposed to dangers and hazardous things and areas that automatically increase the
productivity rate and it becomes the greatest benefit of safety management systems.
3.Reduction in employee absenteeism:
A functioning H&S management system can reduce the rate of worker absences and sick
leave costs in procedure to place and manage risks that could result in sick leaves and
accidents,leading to employee absenteeism.

QUESTION NO 02:
Describe the slip, trip, and fall protection methods.
ANSWER:
The reason for slips, trips and falls are spills, wet or oily surfaces, obstructions and clutter on
the floor, poor lighting, obstructing view and not using appropriate equipment.
Protection methods:

protect workers form harm.
Purpose of LOTO safety:
When we talk about hazardous energy it means any kind of energy that can be released and
might harm the person.
Without the use of proper LOTO services, the serviced equipment can unexpectedly start up
or otherwise release these forms of energy that can lead to severe injuries to the people
working on the machines and to others working in the area or living in the community.
Steps of LOTO:
Preparation
Shut down
Isolation
Lockout/tagout
