2 Shipment and Delivery

2.1 Shipping Responsibility and Information
Stratasys Ltd. will arrange shipment to the customer’s facility, as specified in the
price quote. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide Stratasys with detailed
delivery instructions. The customer is also responsible for transporting the
system to a suitably prepared installation site and moving it to its final location.
Important:
Equipment should be unpacked and installed in the presence of authorized Stratasys
representatives.

2.2 Shipping Pallets

The cleaning unit is delivered to the site on a wooden pallet. The approximate
size and weight of the pallet are shown in Table 1.

3.2 Model Capacity

Two types of WaterJet cabinets are available: standard and large. The cabinets
differ in the size of the door opening. This determines the maximum dimensions
of the model you can place in each cabinet for cleaning.
• Standard
This cabinet is adequate for cleaning models printed on the Eden250,
Eden260, Eden260V, Eden350, Eden350V and Connex350 printers. It is not
suitable for cleaning models whose dimensions are larger than the
maximum tray size of these printers.
• Large
This cabinet is suitable for cleaning all models printed on the Eden500V and
Connex500 printers.

4 Site Requirements
Ensure that the WaterJet unit is installed—
• near the printer, but at least 5 meters (16.5 feet) away from it (to avoid water
damage to the printer)
• close to an area where models can be soaked in caustic soda (sodium
hydroxide), and where they can dry after WaterJet treatment

4.1 Water Supply

The WaterJet requires a connection to the regular water supply. The water
supply tap should be located next to (or in back of) the WaterJet unit and no
more than 80 cm (31.5 inches) above the floor. The water supply tap should have
a diameter of 1.3 centimeters (0.5 inch).
The WaterJet is equipped with hose and a hose connector.

Important:
The pressure of the water supplied to the water pressure pump after the filter must never
drop below 1 bar.
Lower water pressure may cause the pump to overheat and fail.

4.2 Drain
The waste water from the WaterJet unit typically empties into the building’s
drainage system. Therefore, you must prepare a suitable drain pipe near the
unit. The drain pipe should be in back of the WaterJet unit and reach 40–50
centimeters (15–19 inches) above the floor. It should have a diameter of
40 millimeters (1.5 inches).
To connect to the WaterJet waste collector to the drainage system, the customer
must provide a draining hose, metal cable ties and thread-seal tape for sealing
the hoses and their connections.
Stratasys supplies two 40 mm 90° elbows and two short drain pipes for setting
up the drain under the WaterJet cabinet.

4.3 Floor
It is recommended that the floor around the cleaning unit have a non-slip
surface.

4.4 Electrical Requirements

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all tasks described in this section
are carried out by personnel qualified by local authorities.

4.4.1 Power
Important:
The voltage requirements for each WaterJet model appear on the identification label on
the rear of the WaterJet.

• Wall outlet
An electrical outlet must be available, preferably in back of the unit, to
reduce the chances of water spraying on the outlet.
The wall outlet must have (or be connected to) a residual current device
(RCD)—ground current-leakage detector—that protects from a current
leakage of more than 30 mA.
• The WaterJet is equipped with a 2 meter (6 feet) power cable. The customer
must provide a suitable power plug.

4.4.2 Circuit breaker

The electrical circuit must be protected by a circuit breaker with the following
specifications.
Table 1: Circuit breaker specifications
Voltage Circuit Breaker
110–120 VAC 25 Amps
220–240 VAC 20 Amps

4.4.3 Ground
The cleaning unit is grounded through the AC plug. Make sure that the wall
outlet is grounded in accordance with local electrical codes.
