Madhya Pradesh Known as the

'Heart of India', Madhya


Pradesh is a state in Central
India popular for its rich
culture, spiritual heritage and
traditions. The state is home to
numerous monuments,
intricately carved temples, forts
and wildlife sanctuaries.

Bihar is a state in eastern


India. It is the 12th largest state
in terms of geographical size at
38,202 sq/miles (98,940 km2)
and 3rd largest by population.
Almost 58% of Biharis are
below the age of 25, which is
the highest proportion in India.

Literacy rate in Bihar has seen upward trend and is 61.80 percent as per latest
population census. Of that,
male literacy stands at

71.20 percent while female literacy is at 51.50 percent.

Literacy rate in Madhya Pradesh has seen upward trend and


is 69.32 percent as per latest population census. Of that,
male literacy stands at 78.73 percent while female literacy
is at 59.24 percent.
• Hindi is the official
language of Madhya
Pradesh and it is the
widely spoken. Apart
from Hindi, the
languages of Bundeli,
Bagheli, Namari,
Marathi, Sindhi, Urdu,
and Malawi are the
commonly spoken
regional dialects.

Bihar is a state in India with


a rich linguistic diversity.
According to the 2011
Census of India, the state of
Bihar has 38 recognized
languages, including Hindi,
which is the official
language of the state
Maithili, Bhojpuri and
Magadi are all languages
spoken in Bihar. Hindi is also
spoken in Bihar.
Hinduism constitutes 90.89% of Madhya Pradesh population. In all
Hindu form majority religion in 50 out of 50 districts of Madhya
Pradesh state. The data for 2023 & 2024 is under process and will be
updated in few weeks. Muslim Population in Madhya Pradesh is
47.75 Lakhs (6.57 percent) of total 7.26 Crore.

According to the 2023 census, 81.99% of Bihar's


population practised Hinduism, while 17.70% followed
Islam. Christianity (0.05%), Buddhism (0.08%), and
Sikhism (0.01%) are religious minorities in Bihar.
Madhya Pradesh is a leading producer of minerals in India with
major production in Manganese, Copper, Glass, Limestone, etc.
and is the only state in India with diamond reserves. It has over
8% of the total Coal reserves of India and 1,434 billion cubic
meters coal-bed methane.

 In a boost to industrialisation in Bihar, eight companies signed

memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the state


government for proposed investments of ₹554.40 crore in textile
and leather sectors on Wednesday, the first day of the two-day
Bihar Business Connect 2023-Global investors meet.
Jagdish Devdas, presented the
Budget for the state for the financial
year 2023-24 on March 1, 2023. The
Gross State Domestic Product
(GSDP) of Madhya Pradesh for
2023-24 (at current prices) is
projected to be Rs 13,87,117 crore.
This is a growth of 5% over the
revised estimate of GSDP for 202324 (Rs 13,22,821 crore).

The Gross State Domestic Product


(GSDP) of Bihar for 2023-24 (at
current prices) is projected to be Rs
8.59 lakh crore, amounting to growth
of 8.9% over 2022-23 (Rs 7.89 lakh
crore).
