B. MOTIVATION
Present a picture to the class that shows “Running,
Walking, and Jumping”.
Ask the class if they can identify the movements in
the pictures and call a student to perform it.

C. DISCUSSION:
LOCOMOTOR SKILLS -are movements and
where a person moves forward backward and
sideways using a feet as a base it is a transfer
weight of the body.

The teacher will be going to show a pictures in


each movements and let the student perform the
movements.
Different Locomotor Movements

1. Walking - It is a series of
continuous steps in any
direction.

2. Running – series of continuous, faster, and


longer steps or strides with high knees in front.

3. Jumping – springing from one or both feet, and


then landing on both feet.

4. Hopping – springing with one foot, then


landing on the same foot.

5. Skipping – a combination of step and a hop.

E. APPLICATION
Performance Task: Locomotor Race

Divide the class into 3 groups and give the


challenges activity.

Direction: Each group will form a straight line. A


chair can be used as the turning point for each
group for the locomotor race. Each team will
compete with the other teams. Each member of the
team will execute the locomotor movements that
you will call out to them. Each player will travel
from the starting line, go around the chair, and
then go back to the line, tagging the next person.
Be guided to the rubrics. And they have 15
minutes to do the activity.

(Emphasize the proper execution of the locomotor


movements and the safety of the performance)

1. Walking - Walk like a duck
2. Jumping- jump like kangaroo
3. Skipping – skip like you do skipping rope
