RESOLUTION NO. 2022-02-023

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GUIDELINES FOR THE CRITERIA ON THE


SELECTION OF PEE MENTORS

WHEREAS, presented for the consideration and approval of the Board was the
proposed Guidelines for the Criteria on the Selection of Professional Electrical Engineers (PEE)
Mentors;

WHEREAS, the proposed Criteria for PEE Mentors are as follows:

1. Shall be endorsed by at least three Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) being


known to them of good reputation with high moral values in his personal as well
as his professional conduct,
2. Must be a professional electrical engineer with a valid certificate of registration,
3. He/she has been active in professional practice for at least ten years and
currently an active member of good standing of the IIEE,
4. He/she had served for a leadership role and at least as IIEE Chapter Officer,
5. Shall possess credential such as valid PRC PEE ID and eligible to serve as
attester being prescribed on PRC Form 104.
6. He/she has attended the PEE Mentorship Program and has received a proficiency
certificate; or has been a member of PEE Committee at the chapter level; or has
undergone experience in mentoring for PEE applicants for at least two (2) years.
7. The nominated PEE mentor/s must declare his or her willingness to serve as a
mentor and provide free services, or to participate on the PEE Mentoring
Committee.

WHEREAS, the Board agreed that the number four (4) criteria shall read as “He/she
had served for a leadership role and/or at least as IIEE Chapter Officer”;

NOW THEREFORE, taking note of all the foregoing and on motion by the National VP
for External Affairs, Alberto R. Herrera Jr, duly seconded by the Foreign Governor, Jerene B.
Talam, the Board;

RESOLVED to approve as the Board hereby approves the Guidelines for the Criteria on
the Selection of PEE Mentors;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Executive Committee is directed to effectuate this


Resolution and administer necessary amendments, revisions or improvements taking note of the
best interest of the Institute;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copy of this Resolution be furnished to the PEE Mentoring
and Coordinating Committee for their information and guidance.
