32. A train covered a certain distance at a uniform speed. If the train would have been 6 km/h faster, it would
have taken 4 hours less than the scheduled time. And, if the train were slower by 6 km/h, it would have
taken 6 hours more than the scheduled time. Find the length of the journey.

33. As observed from the top of a 100 m high light house from the sea-level, the angles of depression of two
ships are 30° and 45°. If one ship is exactly behind the other on the same side of the light house, find the
distance between the two ships. [Use = 1.732] (5 Marks)
34. A toy is the shape of a right circular cylinder with a hemisphere on one end and a cone on the other. The
height and radius of the cylindrical part are 13 cm and 5 cm respectively. The radii of the hemispherical and
conical parts are the same as that of the cylindrical part. Calculate the surface area of the toy if the height of
the conical part is 12 cm.
OR
A solid toy is the form of a hemisphere surmounted by a right circular cone. The height of the cone is 4cm
and the diameter of the base is 8cm. Determine the volume of the toy. If a cube circumscribes the toy, then
find the difference of the volumes of cube and the toy. Also, find the total surface area of the toy.
