Goddess by Burberry is a Aromatic fragrance for
women. This is a new fragrance. Goddess was
launched in 2023. The nose behind this fragrance is
Amandine Clerc-Marie. Top notes are Vanilla,
Lavender, Cacao and Ginger; middle note is Vanilla
Caviar; base note is Vanilla Absolute.
“
“Fragrance has always been a great love of mine, and I am
fascinated with the power that scent can have and the way it
can immediately transport you to a specific time and place in
your life. Being allowed to become an ambassador for the new
Burberry fragrance feels particularly special and personal.
To me, lionesses represent female unity and strength. They are
confident and move together. Much like them, we stand on the
shoulders of the women who came before us and those who
bolster us throughout our own lives. To me, this image is a real
source of empowerment.” - Emma Mackey, Burberry Beauty
Ambassador
Burberry unveils the new Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum, a
unique aromatic fragrance for women. The launch is supported
by a campaign featuring British-French actress and new
ambassador for Burberry Beauty, Emma Mackey.
The campaign presents a story of self-discovery inspired by the
collective strength and power of the pride of lionesses. Created
with live footage of lionesses in their natural environment and
the latest CGI technology, Burberry creates an imaginary world
where Emma Mackey and the pride come together as one.
Embodying the spirit of the Burberry Goddess Eau de Parfum,
Emma channels the strength of the pride, igniting the power
within to discover her inner confidence and ascend the peak
ahead of her. Echoing Shygirl in the overlaid vocals, ‘one of me,
but I’m not the only one, we are many burning like the sun’, the
lionesses represent the collective power of female strength and
support and the fact that together, we can all discover our inner
goddess and achieve the extraordinary.
A unique gourmand aromatic fragrance led by a powerful trio of
distinct vanillas. Collected by hand, the beans dry in the sun for
five to seven weeks. They are then stored in wooden boxes to
mature and develop their sweet signature aroma.
“My initial goal for Burberry Goddess was to expand upon the
common use of vanilla to deliver a new kind of rich olfactive
experience. For this purpose, I used three distinct types of
vanilla extraction. The first is a vanilla infusion, which provides
the brightest, woody vanilla possible. Then I used Firgood™ ,
also known as vanilla caviar, for the first time in a fragrance.
This innovative new ingredient adds a sweet, rich, and animalic
vanilla. Lastly, vanilla absolute is darker and richer, enhancing
the fragrance with a mysterious, milky aspect." - Amandine
Clerc-Marie, Master Perfumer.
During the process of creating the perfect vanilla accord, the
precious vanilla was wrapped with notes of bright Lavender
Diva essence from Provence and earthy notes of cocoa and
ginger roots, creating an aromatic balance to each vanilla.

whilst the archive-inspired bottle is modernized with a gold
medallion.
Burberry Goddess is available

I tested this yesterday at Ulta, and I'm
just trying to figure out what is REALLY
going on in these fragrance streets??
Maybe it's me... Maybe I'm the
problem... But I don't think I am.
This isn't the first time where I sprayed a
fragrance on a tester strip, only to later
question if my aim was off and I
completely missed the desired target
(enters Black Opium). Because quite
frankly I smell NOTHING! Literally...
Nothing. One thing I think this
experience did for me, was that it
compelled me even more so to be
content with the collection that I
currently have. To not give into FOMO....
Succumbing to the endless plight of
looking for "THE ONE". Nah.... I'm good.

It’s a beautiful and elegant smell. Kinda
gives me rich grandma vibes from the
lavender, but in a good way (I’m 23 ). I
love wearing it when I’m all dressed up
and going somewhere fancy, my
husband loves it on me, so I think it
definitely attracts men.

This is my favorite “rich girl” perfume.
For me the vanilla caviar is the strongest
note. This is a luxurious vanilla. I wear it
when I want to feel elegant and feminine
but not overly sexy/hot girl if that makes
sense. I really enjoy this scent.

A safe vanilla lavender that smells kind
of soapy. It has weak longevity and
Sillage. I find it okay, but not something
you wear if you want someone to notice.
Office safe and something to wear on
errands, but not a date night, if you
know what I mean.

i am struggling to find a creamy vanilla
that layers well with florals.
so far this is the only one that comes to
mind.
i'm not putting it on my wishlist until i get
a proper wear test of this on clothes and
on skin.

This smells like any given vanilla lotion
you can pick up at Target or a drug
store. It’s not super gourmand which I
enjoy, and it’s a pleasant scent, it’s just
something you absolutely don’t have to
pay this price tag for. I wouldn’t
purchase.

The ginger in this is perfect and
everything is blended so well. The ginger
really brightens things up without making
it spicy, and the lavender isn't really
detectable to me. This is one of the only
vanillas I'm willing to wear in the
summertime

A beautifully blended floral vanilla. This
one took a little while to grow on me, but
now it’s one of my favourites.
The vanilla is rich and sweet, combining
with the cacao and ginger to create a
sophisticated gourmand. This is
balanced and grounded with the
lavender, a little fresh, just enough to
keep this feminine and interesting.

I tried this when it first came out and
didn’t like, it was too masculine and fake
smelling on me. I recently tried it again
because all the notes are my favorite
notes, well well, now I love it! I’m
thinking maybe the tester wasn’t the
same fragrance the first time I tried it.
Happy I gave it another chance, it’s at
the top of my favorites now and
definitely big bottle worthy :)

A soft and powdery version of Versace
Blue Jeans to me. Despite this being a
women's fragrance, it leans masculine to
my nose due to the lavender. Moderate
performance.

This is my third review on this perfume
and I must say: it keeps getting better. It
has become my signature scent and is it
such a compliment getter... I even
bought the 150 ml refill to make sure I
never run out of it. Burberry Goddess is
an edible, modern masterpiece. One of
the best creations of the last decade so
far!

I've been starving for a great gourmand
vanilla so I went to Sephora to test
Goddess (my current fave vanilla is
Tinhare by Le Couvent, I adore JC
Ellena's new line!). Put my nose into
context: I'm 48, so I was a teenager in
the 90's and spent my 20's-30's wearing
Hypnotic Poison, Dior Addict, Casmir,
Just Her Cavalli, GFF, and Burberry
Woman. I would love to get those scents
back, but they were all reformulated, I'm
still hunting for a vanilla scent that exists
only in my mind. (
So, I went to Sephora during my lunch
break, seriously considering buying
myself a Saint Valentine's gift, something
like Black Opium or Goddess by
Burberry, because I deserve it, loved the
results of "Fragrantica 2024" survey. I
tested Goddess on a paper, then on my
skin and I've been hating it/loving
it/hating it again, back and forth for the
past six hours. I fully agree with the
review by ar09, who wrote:
"Smells good when you first spray it,
then it starts to dry down to a horrible,
spit smell (I'm sorry, but I have not other
way to describe it). A few hours in
though it faded down and if I didn't smell
my wrist directly, it's a lovely fragrance. I
wouldn't buy it because that smell
bothers me too much, but if it wasn't
there I might pick it up."
I'm back at work, at the office, and the
scent of the final dry down with my
chemistry is exactly the Burberry Woman
(or Casmir too) that I was looking for.
Unfortunately, the middle 3 hours were
unbearable. I'm so happy I didn't blind
buy it. I'll keep searching. I'm sure I'll
find something that I love through the
dry down.
