Daily Routines

 Pre - Reading!

I. Match the activity with the corresponding picture.

1. Wake up

Frequency Words:

These words say how often something happens

Sometimes, I play football. I always finish my classes at 17.15 I never arrive late at school.
My parents often arrive home at 6.00 o’clock I usually wake up at 6.30 am.

These are the most common frequency words:


Always  everyday, without changing Never  you don´t do a specific action
Usually  almost everyday Sometimes  just once or twice a week
Often  three or four times a week

II. Now, complete the following sentence using the frequency words. The words in brackets are
clues.

Hello! My name is Jane Smith. I am from England and this is my daily routine. I usually wake up at

6.30 am. Then, I get up and I have a shower . I brush my teeth and comb my hair. Then, I get

dressed . After that, I have breakfast at 7:25 am. I often eat a slice of bread and a glass of milk. I always

take the bus to go to school at 7.50 am. I arrive at-school at 8:00 o’clock in the morning. I am never late to

school. I usually have lunch with some classmates at 1:00 pm. I always finish my classes at 5:15 pm

and then I go home. I arrive home at 6.00 pm. Sometimes , I read a book and I usually watch TV. I have dinner

with my parents at 6:30 pm. After dinner, I do my homework and then I watch TV. Sometimes ,I read

a book. I often go to bed at 10:00 pm. I always do the same things while I have to go to school.
