Project Report

Guidelines for BBA


Final year
OBJECTIVE

Project work is aimed at preparing you the B.com student, in understanding the application value
of the principles and paradigms you have studied as part of your three year programme.

The objective of this presentation is to offer you guidelines to select a topic (list of suggested
topics given as annexure) of your choice or choice of the organization where you want to study
in consultation with your project guide.

The format for project report given should be carefully followed as it will facilitate your
examiner in the evaluation of this report and you can also show your project report with
confidence and pride.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TYPING/PRINTING

The project report should be strictly prepared according to the following guidelines:

• Finalization of the Project Report - Student should obtain clearance from their respective
guide before final printing of the final project report.

• Paper - The size of the paper sheet: A4

Typing should be done on one side of the paper.

• Font Type: Times New Roman Size: 12

• Line Spacing: Body of the text: 1.5 lines

List of tables/graphs/charts/bibliography: Single Line

• Alignment: Title page: Centre

Chapter heading: Centre

Subheading: Left

Body of Text: Justify

• Margins: At the binding edge (Left) : not less than 3 cm

Other margins (Right, Top, Bottom): not less than 2 cm.\

• Titles: All titles and subtitles should be printed in BOLD.

All the Tables/Graphs/Charts/ should have appropriate titles.


• Binding of the report: The project should be hard bound with golden embossing as per the
standard format

• Number of copies to be prepared: 3 Hard copies

7. Abstract : An abstract is a brief summary of your project: for Endeavor abstracts,


fewer than 350 words. ... A typical abstract should include an initial statement that
tells the reader what problem, task, or goal your project addressed and how it will
benefit you, your field of expertise, and the world as a whole.

ABSTRACT

An efficient allocation of capital is the most important finance function in


modern times. It involves decisions to commit firm’s funds to long-term assets.
Such decisions are tend to determine the value of company/firm by
influencing its growth, profitability & risk. Investment decisions are generally
known as capital budgeting or capital expenditure decisions. It is clever
decisions to invest current in long term assets expecting long-term benefits
firm’s investment decisions would generally include expansion, acquisition,
modernization and replacement of long t erm assets. Such decisions can be
investment decisions, financing decisions or operating decisions. Decisions
pertaining to investment in long-term assets are classified as “Capital
Budgeting” decisions. Capital Budgeting decisions are related to allocation of
investible funds to different long-term assets. They have long-term
implications and affect the future growth and profitability of the firm.
Organizations are frequently faced with Capital Budgeting decisions. Any
decisions that requires the use of resources is a capital budgeting decisions.
Capital Budgeting is more or less a continuous process in any growing
concern.
