12. What is rms value ? What is vrms ? Derive equation of vrms in terms of pressure.
13.3) A wave travelling along a string is described by, y(x, t) = 0.005 sin (80.0 x – 3.0 t) , in which the
numerical constants are in SI units (0.005 m, 80.0 rad m–1 and 3.0 rad s–1). Calculate the period and
frequency of the wave. Also, calculate the displacement y of the wave at a distance x = 30.0 cm and
time t = 20 s.
14. On an average a human heart is found to beat 75 times in a minute. Calculate its frequency and
period.

15. The density of water is 1000 kgm–3. The density of water vapour at 100° C and 1 atm pressure is
0.6 kgm–3. The volume of a molecule multiplied by the total number gives, what is called, molecular
