1 Background

The DC tool is not integrated into the Web LCT for WEBLCT V100R019C00SPC602 later

versions. As a result, the NEs cannot be upgraded in site. This guide describes how to upgrade

MW NEs in site by the Weblct V100R019C00SPC602 later version.

2 Preparing for the upgrade

2.1 Downloading the Web LCT and Installing the DC

1. Download weblct V100R020C10CP3103：

4. Install DC

2.2 (Optional) replace the OptiX RTN 950A.xml file

If the RTN950A(CSHOG) upgrade is involved. the OptiX RTN 950A.xml file need be

1. Open Web LCT installation folder and execute stopweblct.bat to stop the Web LCT process:

2. Open following folder and replace the OptiX RTN 950A.xml file with the attachment file：
WebLCT\weblct\dc\server\etc\oss_cfg\dc\DCDB\ne_script\trans_mml_tl1\OptiX RTN 950A

3. Open Web LCT installation directory again and execute startweblct.bat to restart weblct:

3 Upgrading NEs Using the WebLCT (DC)

1. Add NE information on the Web LCT. Check whether the communication is normal and the

login is successful.

2. Click Start DC.

3. Set login parameters. The DC tool sets the NE login account and password:

szhw/Changeme_123.

4. Enter the username and password for logging in to the DC. The default username is admin
and password is Changeme_123. （The password needs to be changed upon the first login.）

5. In System-FTP Settings, set the IP address to the IP address of the client PC.

6. Web LCT uses certificates different from those of NE Software Management. Therefore, NEs

added on Web LCT cannot be obtained on the NE Software Management GUI. You need to

separately add NEs on the NE Software Management GUI.

a) choose NE Explorer > Create NE.

b) Set the NE parameters in the dialog box.

c) Click Create NE.

8. Add Task Type/NE Information

9. Add the path of the package file to be upgraded.

10. Select a step. Before the upgrade, check and backup are optional. Before the upgrade, check

whether the NE is abnormal and back up the NE data.

11. If Pre-check is selected, you need to deselect Extended Check.

12. Configure activation information.

13. After the configuration is complete, all operations are displayed in blue. By default, the

system suspends the activation and commit steps. (The upgrade task will be suspended until

the upgrade task is executed. You need to manually perform the upgrade task again before

proceeding to the next step.). You can deselect this option based on the site requirements.

14. After the task is created, click Start Task to perform the upgrade.
