Instructions

Two Models

Tip
The Resource Plan Template can help Project Managers define how many hours per month and per week a resource is
utilized and available throughout all phases of a project. This template can be easily tailored and aligned for projects of
all sizes.

Update the following to your project timeline: Month, Week of, Week # and Phase
Update Project Role and Resource Name to your project team members
Update % Utilized Per Week for each resource
Hours Utilized Per Week is automatically calculated based upon the % Utilized Per Week

Resource Plan Template - Model1: Each phase is sequential


Resource Plan Template - Model2: Each phase or work stream may run in parallel

In Model2 you can also add a 'Total Hours' section to easily identify if a resource is overallocated
Conditional formatting can be applied to indicate hours over 40 per week
In Model2 resources can be customized for each work stream
