Abstract
This internship report presents a comprehensive overview of the work undertaken during the
internship at AVIATION AND ROBOTICS LAB focusing on two key projects: Remotely Operated
Underwater Vehicle (ROV) and Autonomous Line-Following Robot. The internship aimed to
provide hands-on experience in robotics, embedded systems, and real-time software development,
bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
The ROV project involved the design and implementation of a remotely controlled
underwater vehicle equipped with computer vision for QR code detection, sensor fusion for
navigation, and real-time data processing. The system was developed using an STM32
microcontroller, LiDAR sensors, and PID control algorithms to enhance stability and
maneuverability. The project also covered aspects of buoyancy control, wireless communication,
and AI-driven decision-making.
The report details the internship work plan, outlining the structured learning phases,
including hands-on assembly, software development, testing, and debugging. Key learnings include
embedded software development, computer vision applications, and AI-based navigation.
Challenges faced during the projects, such as sensor calibration, real-time processing constraints,
and system stability, were addressed through iterative problem-solving and software optimizations.

Chapter 1
The Aviation and Robotics Club operates within our college, focusing on advancing students’
skills and knowledge in aviation, robotics, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The club offers
hands-on training through workshops, internships, and training sessions, providing a platform for
students to explore and engage with modern technologies. The club specializes in the development
and operation of drones, flight control software, and robotic systems. Members gain expertise in
utilizing tools such as BetaFlight Configurator, STM32 microcontrollers, and gyroscopic sensors,
which are essential for building and controlling UAVs and submerged robotic systems. The club
emphasizes motor control, stabilization techniques, and system integration, enabling students to
work proficiently with both aerial and underwater robotics. The club’s initiatives aim to prepare
students for real-world challenges in aerospace and robotics industries. It promotes innovation,
teamwork, and technical skill-building, helping students stay ahead in rapidly evolving fields. The
Aviation and Robotics Club stands as a center of creativity and learning, empowering its members
with practical exposure and technical proficiency, and shaping them into industryready
professionals equipped for the challenges of tomorrow.
VISION
To foster a community of learners and innovators who excel in aviation and robotics
technologies, driving advancements in quality and performance to benefit society.
MISSION
• To provide students with opportunities to design, build, and operate UAVs and robotic
systems.
• To ensure all projects meet high standards of reliability, precision, and performance.
• To continuously update and adapt to technological advancements, ensuring cutting-edge
training.
• To encourage collaboration and teamwork among members to solve complex problems.
• To cultivate an environment that supports creativity, innovation, and technical excellence.
• To prepare students for real-world applications and careers in aerospace and robotics..

CONCLUSION
This internship provided an immersive experience in robotics and
automation, allowing me to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world
applications. Through hands-on involvement in the ROV project, I
explored underwater navigation, computer vision, and sensor integration,
while the Autonomous Line-Following Robot project refined my
understanding of control systems, real-time data processing, and adaptive
algorithms.
