SYC asks its consignment stores to use MtnPOS to manage and sell products. MtnPOS is a
free App that can be downloaded from Apple App Store.

Hardware
SYC will provide consignment stores with hardware. Local stores are encouraged to prepare
additional devices as backups in case there are multiple selling points at theaters and more
equipments are needed.

Figure 1 showcases a complete set of POS system. The recommended hardwares are:

Getting Started
1. Install MtnPOS
Go to Apple App Store on iPad and search for “MtnPOS” (Figure 2). If you have already
installed MtnPOS, it is recommended to check back in App Store regularly for updates.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to install the MtnPOS App directly from App Store. Please DO NOT
copy/transfer the App from one iPad to another. This will cause shopping cart or payment error.

2. Configurations
Go to “Settings” on iPad. Scroll down to nd MtnPOS.

Local stores can keep most of the default settings unchanged. Here lists some that may need
update:

1) Text ID (Figure 3)
IMPORTANT: Make sure to use unique Text IDs for each city, following the rules of State-City-
Theater-POS#. For example, for sales at Lincoln Center New York City, text ID would be: NY-
NYC-LincolnCenter-POS1.

This setting needs to be set before the rst show at each city/theater. During a show season, it
usually needs to be set multiple times.

2) API (Figure 3)
SYC will give each consignment store a unique API domain.

4

IMPORTANT: MtnPOS loads products based on API domain. It is crucial that consignment
stores use the right API domain.

This setting usually needs to be set only once (API domain is for each consignment store).
