ACTIVITY 1:
This activity will done with 4 groups.

Direction: Determine the exact value of the following expressions

using a scientific calculator.
C. Lesson Proper
Activity
G1: sec 30 + cot 60
G2: sin2 30 + cos2 45
G3: sin 45 x tan 30
G4: cos 60 - tan 45

 How did you find the activity?

 What did you notice on the activity being given?
D. Analysis  How were you able to find the exact values of each expression?

IV. Abstraction
In this section the students learned the process of determining the
values of expressions involving trigonometric ratios of special
angles even without the use of a calculator. Remember that the two
special right triangles are the 30° – 60° – 90° triangle and the isosceles
(45° – 45° – 90°) triangle.

Evaluating the six trigonometric ratios of special angles (30°, 45°,

and 60°) is essential in understanding right triangle relationships
and solving trigonometric problems efficiently. These ratios—sine,
cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent—are derived
from the sides of a 30°-60°-90° or 45°-45°-90° triangle and have
exact values that can be used without a calculator. Recognizing
these values allows for quick computations and verification of
trigonometric identities, making problem-solving more efficient in
mathematics, physics, and real-world applications.

ACTIVITY 2: "Trigo Bingo!" 🎉🎯

Instructions:
1. Prepare Bingo Cards: Each group gets a 3x3 Bingo card filled
with different trigonometric expressions involving special angles.
2. Call Out Clues: The teacher will randomly call out
V. Application trigonometric values (e.g., "What is sin 30°?", "Find cot 45°!").
3. Mark the Answer: Students will calculate the value and mark
the correct answer on their Bingo card.
4. Winning: The first student or group to complete a row, column,
or diagonal shouts "TRIGO!" and wins a prize!

Direction: Find the exact value of each expression using the table of
trigonometric values for special angles. Show your solution.

1. sin 30 + cos 60

2. tan 45 x sec 30
3. cot 60 - csc 30
VII. Assessment: 4. (sin 45)2 + (cos 45)2
tan 30
5.
