[This workshop is limited to 30 participants so register early There is a $100 fee for this workshop.]
This hands-on lab session will allow doctors an opportunity to physically try various vision training
techniques and equipment under the guidance of experienced colleagues. Participants will be given an
opportunity to perform as well as administer several vision training techniques and equipment. Doctors
will be able to speak to an experienced certified athletic trainer on doctor trainer communication and
training dynamics.
Course Goals
By the end of this course, attendees will be able to:
● Adapt common eye examination techniques to assess athletes
● Understand how to perform and/or operate basic and advanced sports vision training tools
● Understand how to incorporate basic and advanced training techniques into an athlete’s
schedule
● Understand how to dynamically provide training recommendations to athletes, coaches, and
trainers
Course Outline

Then discuss how can we improve their situation
○ Provide case examples and we discuss opportunities of where we can possibly improve
their performance and how to do that utilizing basic procedures and low-tech materials.
Station 3
Advanced (high-tech) training procedures & techniques – Ice Hockey
This station will introduce more expensive training equipment and more complex training techniques.
We will again utilize a method where we will start with easier ways to train and increase the difficulty.
