6. Enabling the Interfaces (Interface Manager).

By default:
• Ethernet traffic interfaces are disabled. Need to enable Ethernet Slot 1 Port X.
Enabling other port depends on Customer/Site requirement.
• The Ethernet management interface is enabled (do not disable).
• Radio interfaces are enabled, need to disable one radio for 1+0 Configuration.
• For Horizontal Polarisation: Enable Radio Slot 1 Port 1
• For Vertical Polarisation: Enable Radio Slot 1 Port 2

To enable or disable interfaces:

a. Select Platform > Interfaces > Interface Manager. The Interface Manager page opens,
displaying all the system's traffic and management interfaces.
b. Select the interfaces by selecting the check box in the top row
c. In the Multiple Selection Operation section underneath the Interface Manager Table,
select Admin status – Up or Admin status – Down.
d. Click Apply.

7. Configuring Radio Parameters.

In order to establish a radio link, you need to configure radio frequencies, Tx level and need
to unmute the radios.

8. Configuring Radio (MRMC) Script(s).

Multi-Rate Multi-Constellation (MRMC) radio scripts define how the radio utilizes its
available capacity. We need to configure the MRMC according to the Link Budget provided
by Customer. Changing the script resets the radio interface and affects traffic.

To display and configure the MRMC scripts and their basic parameters and select a script:
a. Select Radio > MRMC > Symmetrical Scripts > ETSI. The MRMC Symmetrical Scripts page
opens.
b. In the Select Radio Interface field, select the slot for which you want to configure the
script. For XPIC configure it for both the radio interfaces.
c. Select the script you want to assign to the radio. The currently-assigned script is marked
by a check mark.

d. Click Configure Script. A separate MRMC Symmetrical Scripts page opens.

e. Select the planned profile.

f. Click Apply.

9. Configuring AMCC (XPIC).

Cross Polarization Interference Canceller (XPIC) is a feature that enables two radio carriers to
use the same frequency with a polarity separation between them.

To create an XPIC group:

a. Select Radio > Groups > AMCC. The XPIC page opens.
b. In the AMCC Configuration page, click Create Group.
c. AMCC Group Pop-up will Open.
d. Select both the Radio ports and set MRMC as desired and click Finish.
e. Click Apply.

Even if the link is planned as 1+0, we need get it ready for XPIC. So, XPI value is required to
be achieved for every link.

Acceptable XPI value should be between 23 to 35 dB.

b. Click Create Group. The first page of the Create ABC Group wizard opens.
c. In the Member 1 and Member 2 field, select a radio interface.
d. Click Submit.

Even if the link is planned for only one polarization (1+0) we need to make it ready
for 2+0 configuration. So, Multi-Carrier ABC Group is required to be created for 1+0
links too.

11. Management and Traffic Ethernet Services.

11.1. Management Service (MNG).

For Management we need to add Service points in the already available Management
Service (Sid: 1025). At the POP end we need to configure Management C-VLan
(provided by the customer) on the port connected to the MUX/CEN/Third Party
equipment. For In-band management use S-Vlan on the radio ports.

Ceragon to Third party: MNG dot1q

Ceragon to Ceragon (Radio/Ethernet): MNG s-tag

To open the Ethernet Services page:

a. Select Ethernet > Services. The Ethernet Services page opens.

b. Select Management Service ID 1025 and click Service Points. The Service Points
page opens.
c. Create Service points on the Ethernet ports (Not on BTS port) (MNG dot1q) and
Radio Port/Mc-ABC (MNG s-tag).

For Sites where you need to connect IP-50CX to other IP-20 or IP-50 devices, on the
ports connected create MNG s-tag service points in the same management service.

11.2. Traffic Ethernet Services (MP).

For Every different type of traffic, you need to configure different Services. For
example, you need to create different Services for 2G, 4G and any other services if any
example 3G, Enterprise customers. As customer needs to use more than one Ethernet
port Multiple Point (MP) type of services will be created.

Service point configuration

Ceragon to Third party: SAP Bundle-C
Ceragon to Ceragon (Radio/Ethernet): SNP s-tag

To open the Ethernet Services page:

a. Select Ethernet > Services. The Ethernet Services page opens.
b. Click Add. Ethernet Services Add page will open.

c. Create MP type of service. And then open Service Points page for this Service.
d. Create Service points on the Ethernet ports (SAP Bundle-C) and Radio Port/Mc-
ABC (SNP s-tag).

e. Attach Customer C-Vlans on the Bundle-C by clicking Attached VLAN.

12. Enabling HTTPS.

According to Customers Security requirement we need to configure HTTPS instead of HTTP

as our URL protocol.

By default, HTTP is used by IP-50CX as its web interface protocol.

To change the protocol to HTTPS (Web-GUI):

a. Go to Platform > Security > Protocols Control.

b. In HTTP protocol filed select HTTPS.
c. Click Apply.

To change the protocol to HTTPS (CLI), you will need SSH the device using Admin
credentials.

a. Select Ethernet > PM & Statistics > Port TX. The Ethernet Port TX PM Report page opens
b. Click PM Admin. The Ethernet PM Port Admin page opens.
c. Select Ethernet Slot 1 Port x and Enable.
d. Click Apply.

Notes: Port PM admin needs to be enabled for all the Ethernet ports which are enabled and
are being used.
Cross-verify the same in Port Rx also.

14. Egress CoS PM (Traffic Queue Report).

We need to enable Egress CoS PM collection on the enabled Ethernet and Radio interfaces
in all the devices in order to get the report in NetMaster.

To configure queue-level PMs:

a. Select Ethernet > PM & Statistics > Egress CoS PM > Configuration. The Egress CoS PM

f. Click Apply.
g. Repeat these steps to configure collection rules for all the enabled Ethernet and Radio
Interfaces.

15. Checking MAC-learning-table.

You can display the MAC address forwarding table for an interface, a service, or for the
entire unit.

• To display the MAC address forwarding table for a service, go to service view for the
service and enter the following command:

root> ethernet service sid <xx>

service[SID]> service mac-learning-table show

• To display the MAC address forwarding table for an interface, go to interface view
for the interface and enter the following command:

root> ethernet interfaces eth <xxxx>
