Annex 2 - Evaluating Other's Speech

Objective: When watching your peer’s video, assess their performance


based on these aspects and provide constructive feedback.

Evaluation Aspects

Fluency
 Assess how smoothly the speaker delivered their ideas.
 Did the speaker maintain a consistent pace without excessive pauses
or hesitations?
 Was the delivery engaging?
Score (0-5):
Pronunciation
 Reflect on the clarity of the speaker’s pronunciation.
 Was it easy to understand each word?
 Did the speaker’s accent affect comprehension?
Score (0-5):
Grammar
 Consider the correctness of the speaker’s sentence structure and
verb forms.
 Did the speaker use complete sentences and appropriate verb
tenses?

Natural Communication
 Evaluate whether the speaker communicated in a relaxed and
engaging manner.
 Did the speaker appear comfortable and confident?
 Did the speaker seem to be reading from notes or was the
presentation spontaneous?

Content Relevance
 Assess if the speaker remained focused on the task topic.
 Did the speaker provide relevant examples and ideas?

General Comment

Write a constructive comment that highlights the strengths and offers


suggestions for improvement. You should provide one suggestion for how
your peer can improve and encourage their progress.
Example:
Great job on the video! You spoke clearly and maintained a good pace,
making your ideas easy to follow. However, I noticed that you seemed to be
reading or looking at notes while discussing personal experiences. This
approach may hinder a more engaging connection with the audience. Try to
speak more naturally and spontaneously about personal topics to enhance
your delivery. Keep practicing those areas, and I look forward to your next
video!
