17. Solve: 3𝑥 + 4𝑦 = 10 and 2𝑥 − 2𝑦 = 2
18. If the product of two positive consecutive integer is 306. Find the integers.
19. Find the H.C.F and L.C.M of 12, 15 and 21.
20. Find the value of y, if the distance between the points P (2, -3) and Q (10, y)
is 10 units.
21. In the given figure, 𝑄𝑅 = 𝑄𝑇 and ∟1 = ∟2. Prove that ΔPQS ~ ΔTQR.

25. Prove that √3 is an irrational number.
26.Three bells ring together at intervals of 9 minutes, 12 minutes and 15 minutes
respectively. If they ring simultaneously at 9:00 am ,next at what time they will ring
together?
27.Find the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial 𝑥 2 + 7𝑥 + 10 and verify the
relationship between the zeroes and the coefficients.
28. If we add 1 to the numerator and subtract 1 from the denominator, a fraction reduces
to 1. It becomes 1 if we only add 1 to the denominator. What is the fraction?

29. A train travels a distance of 480 km at a uniform speed. If the speed had been
8 km/h less, then it would have taken 3 hours more to cover the same distance.
We need to find the speed of the train.
30.Find the coordinates of the point which divides the join of (-1 ,7) and (4, -3)
in the ratio 2:3.
31.In parallelogram ABCD, the point P divides AB in the ratio 2:3,
Q divides AC in the ratio 4:1 then prove that OA = 2 × OC.
32. Four angles of a quadrilateral are in arithmetic progression. Sum of one pair of
opposite angles are 130°. Find all the angles of quadrilateral.
33. Find the sum of first 51 terms of AP whose second and third terms are 14 and 18
respectively.
V. Answer the following questions: 4 × 4 = 16
34. The cost of digging a well for the first metre is ₹650 and rises by ₹100 for each
succeeding metre. The total cost of digging is ₹63000. Find the depth of the well.
Also find the cost of digging a well for the last metre.
35. Four years ago, Samiksha’s father’s age was nine times of her age. Eight years
after, her father’s age will be three times of her age. Find the present age.
36. Prove that A (-1, -2), B (-4, 1), C (-1, 4) and D (2, 1) are vertices of a square.
37. Solve graphically: 2𝑥 + 𝑦 = 10
𝑥+𝑦=6
VI. Answer the following question: 1×5=5
38. State and prove Thales theorem.
