JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT

We are currently looking for a driven and enthusiastic Communications Executive to join our team and support our
global communications efforts. As an Executive at AEC, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry
experts and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. We are seeking a candidate who is
passionate about communications, has strong writing and organizational skills, and is eager to learn and contribute to
a variety of projects.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible to promote, protect and enhance the reputation of AEC by providing strategic
communications support to the key stakeholders through the implementation of activities by driving effective
communication between internal and external stakeholders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 Assist in developing and executing global communications strategies for AEC.


 Collaborate with team members to create and publish compelling content for various communication
channels, including monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, information leaflets, synopsis, social media,
website, and internal communications.
 Conduct research and gather information to support communications initiatives.
 Help maintain and update media lists and databases.
 Assist with organizing and coordinating events, including press conferences, webinars, and internal
meetings.
 Contribute to the creation and distribution of press releases, media pitches, and other materials.
 Monitor and track media coverage and provide reports to management.
 Manage and organize communication materials, such as photos, videos, and publications.
 Nurture and develop strong partnerships with media outlets /press and stakeholders in the Architecture,
Engineering and Construction (AEC) Ecosystem.
 Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistency in messaging and brand identity.
 Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities for AEC's communications.
 Support the team in crisis communication and issues management.
 Attend team meetings and provide updates on project progress and results.
 Take on ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the communications team.
 Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications.
 Manage all corporate, product, and internal communications efforts for the company.
 Collaborate to develop online content that engages our community and leads to measurable action.
Strategize on the best way to reach targets and enact plans.
 Facilitate mechanisms for internal communications with the entire team.
 Develop a thoughtful media relations strategy in collaboration with the Public Relations/ Communications
Team Lead.
 Develop content for business initiatives and management of all AEC’s social media platforms.
 Oversee AEC’s community engagement and program planning.
 Craft the narrative and share the stories of our projects, services, as well as our amazing team and culture.
 Oversee campaigns to increase awareness and excitement around the AEC’s community initiatives,
services, and brand.
 Coordinate AEC’s events attendance and media around these events.
 Track and report on key quantitative metrics for business performance.
 Support AEC Group portfolio companies in crafting and advising on execution strategies aligned with their
brands.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

 A successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Communications/


PR/Journalism, Business, Management, Advertising, Marketing, or related field with 3-5yrs+ experience.

 Experience writing and managing content for the media, including digital and social media platforms (Twitter,

 Bilingual skills: English for speaking, writing, and reading. Spanish and/or French writing and reading skills a
bonus.
 Experience or interest in the innovation, design, and construction industry preferred, knowledge of
Architecture/Engineering/Construction for Built Environment and Sustainable Development field helpful.
 Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple deadlines with great attention to detail.
 Ability to find and tell great stories.
 Maintain an enthusiastic approach to working with deadlines.
 Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks to support the needs of the team.
