Course Prerequisite :
Course Rationale : This course enables the students to acquire and apply the basic concepts of Physical Science to everyday living and its interrelationships to the other branches of Science. It also aims to develop the students analytical thinking through managing and solving problems related to their fields. Course Description : Science 101 or Physical Science is a 3-unit course that involves the study of non-living things and their significance in mans daily life in myriad forms. The course is a presentation of the basic principles in Physical Science that covers introduction to Physics, Chemistry and Earth Science. It uses experimentation as it seeks answers to the countless mysteries of the physical world. Course Credit: 3 units
General Objectives : At the end of the course, the students are expected to have learned the basic compositions of matter in Chemistry, the systematic approaches in problem solving related to basic Physics concepts and an in-depth exploration of the physical layers of the Earth. Specific Objectives 1. Cognitive 1.1 Analyze the basic concepts in basic Physics, Chemistry and Earth Science. 1.2 Investigate principles related to these three branches scientifically. 1.3 Evaluate observed facts. 2. Affective
