success?

School Programs/Activities Learning Outcomes

Parent Workshops on Academic Support Increased parental involvement and
understanding of how to support their children's
learning at home, leading to improved student
outcomes.

How do these programs impact student learning?

Parent workshops on academic support have a profound impact on student learning by
fostering a collaborative environment between home and school. When parents participate
in these workshops, they gain valuable insights into effective strategies for supporting their
children's education, such as homework assistance, study techniques, and understanding
the curriculum. This increased parental involvement leads to higher student engagement
and motivation, as children feel supported and encouraged in their academic pursuits.
Research consistently shows that students whose parents are actively involved in their
education tend to achieve better grades, exhibit improved behavior, and have higher
attendance rates. Furthermore, these workshops enhance communication between
parents and teachers, allowing for timely interventions when challenges arise. Overall, by
equipping parents with the tools and knowledge to support their children, these workshops
create a positive feedback loop that significantly enhances student learning outcomes.

I. Title of the Learning Program

Building Bridges: Parent Engagement for Student Success

II. Rationale

Parental involvement is a critical factor in enhancing student achievement and

well-being. Research indicates that when parents actively participate in their
children's education, students are more likely to excel academically, develop
positive attitudes toward school, and exhibit better behavior. This program aims
to provide parents with the tools and knowledge necessary to support their
children's learning effectively. By fostering a strong partnership between parents
and educators, we can create a nurturing environment that promotes academic
success and holistic development.

III. Specific Objectives

 To educate parents on effective strategies for supporting their children's

learning at home.
 To educate parents on effective strategies for supporting their children's
learning at home.
 To educate parents on effective strategies for supporting their children's
learning at home.

IV. Conditions which prompted you to design the program:

The design of this program was prompted by several observations and feedback
from the school community. Many parents expressed a desire for guidance on
how to assist their children with homework and study skills, indicating a gap in
knowledge and resources. Additionally, data from student performance
assessments revealed a correlation between low parental engagement and
declining academic outcomes. Teachers reported challenges in communicating
effectively with parents about student progress, highlighting the need for
improved collaboration. These conditions underscored the necessity of a
structured program to enhance parental involvement and support student
learning.
