I had decided to stop worrying about what people thought of me.
I was there looking at
everyone around me watching the world move one while I was stuck in one place. While I was feeling like I couldn't please anyone, the world didn't stop what it was doing to see if I was okay, I watched everyone else do whatever they pleased. I constantly wondered what was going through their minds wondering how they were able to do whatever they please without the constant fear of judgement. It felt nauseating thinking I could do something without fear of judgement. Like my throat was closing up, the walls were closing, my heart was beating faster than a race horse. I waited for the world to come crashing down but nothing happened. I realised that nobody actually cares because they are too busy caring about themselves. People are so worried about what other people think that they don't have the time to look at anyone else around them. The people who do judge, judge because they are insecure. I decided that it makes no sense to put stress on myself for no reason because everyone else is so caught up in their own world they don't realise what is going on in yours. The world doesn't stop moving just because you want it to. People are always going to have something to say about you, your work, and/or your actions. There is no need to fear something that is quite in my opinion non-existent. It's like we're all actors on the stage of life, right? We often get caught up in this imaginary audience, thinking that everyone is watching our every move and silently judging us. But the truth is, most people are too busy playing their own roles to pay much attention to ours. They have their own fears, insecurities, and dreams to worry about. When we realise this, it's like a weight is lifted off our shoulders. We can finally breathe and be ourselves without constantly second-guessing every decision we make. It's empowering to know that we have the freedom to live our lives authentically, pursuing our passions and following our own path. So, let's embrace this newfound freedom. Let's dance to the beat of our own drums, sing our own songs, and paint our own masterpieces. Let's remember that the only opinion that truly matters is our own. As long as we are true to ourselves and live with integrity, we can find happiness and fulfilment in our own unique way. So, let's rock this stage called life with confidence and joy.
