teachers' lounge and sees a copy of the math test on a table. She steals it. She
does the test and does very well. Her teacher is suspicious, and Anna gets
caught.

______________2. Sam and Tiffany are scared of thunderstorms. They hide under
their beds every time one hits. Their father tells them that there is nothing to
be scared of, and he explains where thunder and lightning come from. Both
Sam and Tiffany still don't like the loud noises, but they decide to come out
from under their beds and face the thunderstorm. They watch from the window
and realize it is beautiful.

______________3. Jack makes fun of people in his class. People try to be nice to
him, but he is mean to everyone. One day, he gets into trouble and needs help.
Nobody wants to help him

because he was so mean to them. Finally, a new student helps Jack. He is very
grateful!

makes a promise to the frog, but she doesn't want to keep it. However, her
father tells her that a promise is a promise, and she must keep it. Although the
princess doesn't like it, she keeps her promise and is rewarded at the end.

__________________5. Sandy said, "How could you do this to me? I thought you
were my friend! I trusted you!"

__________________6. When Mike saw the puppy under the Christmas tree, it was
love at first sight. He knew they would be best friends forever.

__________________7. Jane was the only one to volunteer. "I will drive out the giant
and save the town," she said, trembling but determined.

__________________8. Auggie was born with facial deformities. He had to go


through all the stares, the bad comments, classmates who treat him as a
disease, yet he still decided to excel in class, make new friends, and even
earned an award by the end of the school year.

__________________9. A shepered boy repeatedly tricks nerby tricks villagers into


thinking a wolf is attacking his flock. When a wolf actually does appear, the
villagers do not believe the boys cries for help, and the flock is destroyed.

__________________10. The hare (rabbit) makes fun of the show turtle. The turtle
challenges the faster hare to a race. Thinking he can easily win, the hare stops
running and decides to take a nap before fishing the race. The hare sleeps so
long, and the slow turtle eventually wins the race.
