1. PM Modi launched a unique week-long programme for Aspirational Blocks in the country called
‘Sankalp Saptaah’ at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

(a) The initial six days will focus on themes:

Sampoorna Swasthya (Comprehensive Health).

(b) Suposhit Pariwaar (Well-Nourished Families).

(c) Swachhta (Cleanliness)

(d) Krishi (Agriculture)

(e) Shiksha (Education)

(f) Samridhi Diwas (Prosperity Day)

2. India’s Solar Mission Aditya L1 successfully escaped the sphere of Earth’s influence by travelling
beyond a distance of 9.2 kilometres from Earth and is now navigating its path towards the Lagrange
point L1 that is 1.5 million kms from Earth.

3. National Museum in Delhi, home to a collection of rich ancient artefacts, is likely to be vacated by the
end of this year as part of the Central Vista redevelopment project. The collections will eventually be
housed in the proposed Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum which would be located in the North
Block and South Block of the Raisina Hill complex.
4. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said India will not only be self-reliant in drug manufacturing but will
be in a position to export Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Key Starting Materials (KSM) to
the world in the next ten years. He said while speaking at the inauguration of a permanent campus of
the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Ahmedabad at Palaj in
Gandhinagar.

5. PM Modi will attend the BJP’s Legislative Assembly election campaign at a public meeting in
Mahbubnagar on Sunday.

6. Eminent farm scientist M S Swaminathan was cremated in Chennai on Saturday with government
honours.

7. ASSAM CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and his MEGHALAYA counterpart Conrad Sangma held a meeting in
Guwahati.

Both the CMs announced that their governments jointly decided to request the CBI to take over the
probe into the 2022 Mukroh violence.

8. SWACHHATA HI SEVA: Several activities held in Maharashtra to commemorate 9th anniversary of


'Swachh Bharat Mission'. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation will also conduct a cleanliness drive
at 267 places across the city on Sunday.

9. KARNATAKA CM Siddaramaiah on Saturday said a review petition has been filed before the Cauvery
Water Management Board regarding the Cauvery water release order.

10.. The 'RAIL ROKO' stir of Punjab farmers demanding compensation for crops damaged in the recent
floods, a legal guarantee on MSP and a sweeping debt waiver entered its third day on Saturday.

1. Court in Punjab's Fazilka district sent Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira to 14-day judicial custody on
Saturday in connection with a 2015 drugs case.
2. National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested a man named Seiminlun Gangte from
Manipur for his alleged involvement in a conspiracy to exploit the current ethnic unrest in the state
against the Indian government.

3. A man named Umar Farooq, in Karnataka's Uttara Kannada district was arrested for hoisting a
distorted version of the Indian flag atop his house, he attached a picture of a green dome on the Indian
flag and hoisted it on his house terrace. The dome picture was placed at the centre, fully covering the
Ashok Chakra.

4. J&K: Security forces foil infiltration bid in Kupwara, two terrorists neutralized.

5. NIA has filed chargesheet in the Special Court at Ernakulam, against Shahrukh Saifi, a Delhi
Shaheenbagh youth, in connection with the train arson incident that took place near Elathur in
Kozhikode district in April.

6. Andhra Pradesh CID has served a notice to Telugu Desam national general-secretary N. Lokesh in New
Delhi on Saturday under Section 41-A of CrPC, directing that he should present himself at the CID office
in Tadepalli of Guntur district at 10 am on October 4. The notice is in connection with anomalies in
alignment of Amaravati Inner Ring Road. It lists Lokesh as accused number 14.

7. Communal tension erupted in Ramganj and nearby areas in Jaipur on Saturday after a man died
allegedly due to thrashing by a group of men over an accident between two motorcycles.

1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently unveiled the Enhanced Collaborative Autonomous Rover
System (ECARS) in an annual North Tech Symposium at IIT-Jammu. The specially designed ECARS is a
cutting-edge 4X4 multi-terrain operative unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), which has been developed by
Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd from Pune.

2. Arunachal's SELA TUNNEL near completion, likely to be opened by year end. The Sela Pass connects
the Tawang district with the rest of Arunachal Pradesh. It is being built by the Border Roads Organisation
(BRO).

On completion, this would be the longest bi-lane road tunnel in the world, at an altitude above 13,000
feet.

3. The Indian and US Armies carried out a joint tactical exercise in Alaska as part of the ongoing Exercise
Yudh Abhyas.The two armies on Friday carried out field training drills in Alaska, the joint exercise will
take place from September 25 to October 8 at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, US. Indian Army contingent
comprising 350 personnel.

4. Army along with IAF to procure 6,425 Multi Spectral Camouflage Nets designed for High Altitude

1. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reiterated the stand that India is ready to look at any
information shared by the Canadian side regarding its allegations about the killing of Khalistani terrorist
Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

a gurdwara in Glasgow, Scotland. According to a purported video posted on the Instagram channel of
‘Sikh Youth UK,’ a man reportedly a pro-Khalistani activist was seen blocking Doraiswami from entering
the Glasgow Gurdwara.

3. United Kingdom Minister of State for the Indo-Pacific Anne-Marie Trevelyan on Saturday said that she
was "concerned" to see that the Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami was stopped from
meeting the Gurudwara Committee in Glasgow.

Trevelyan said that the security and safety of foreign places is of utmost importance and places of
worship in the United Kingdom should be open to all.

4. A Special representatives and senior officials from India, Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, India,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took part in the fifth meeting of the Moscow
Format Consultation on Afghanistan in the Russian city of Kazan on Friday.
