2/5 of the pizza, and the third friend eats the rest. What fraction of the pizza did the third
friend eat?
3. A car driver completes 3/4 of a lap in the first race and 2/5 of a lap in the second race.
What fraction of the total race distance has the driver completed in both races combined?
4. A fruit salad recipe calls for 0.75 kg of apples, 0.5 kg of grapes, and 0.25 kg of
strawberries. How much fruit is needed in total?
5. A child has a tower of blocks that is 1.2 meters tall. He adds another section that is 0.85
meters tall. How tall is the tower now?
6. A bag of candy weighs 0.5 kg. If it is shared equally among 4 children, how many
kilograms of candy does each child receive?
