sample lab report ed(1)

This document is a physics practical report for B.Tech first semester students at Ajeenkya DY Patil University, certifying that Shubh Arya has completed various physics experiments under the supervision of Dr. Vibhooti Gupta. The report includes an index of experiments covering resistance measurement, testing electronic components, pendulum analysis, wave simulations, diffusion studies, wave interference, and characteristics of diodes and transistors. Each experiment is structured with sections for aims, required apparatus, theory, observations, and conclusions.

PHYSICS PRACTICAL REPORT

Mentor Student
Dr. Vibhooti Gupta Shubh Arya
Certificate

This is to certify that …Shubh Arya…… a student with URN

No. 2024-B-03072005 of Newton School of Technology <>
Ajeenkya DY Patil University, pursuing B.Tech in Computer
Science (AI and ML), has successfully completed the physics
experiments as part of the curriculum for the academic year
2024 - 2025.

The work has been carried out under my supervision and

complies with the academic standards and procedural
guidelines of the institution. It demonstrates originality,
accuracy, and a comprehensive understanding of the subject
matter.

INDEX

1. To find the resistance value by using a colour code table (Resistance colour
band).
2. Testing of electronic components like resistors, diode, transistor and LED by
using DMM (digital multimeter).
(a) Find the value of resistance by using DMM.
(b) Check whether the diode is in working order and to check unidirectional flow
of current in a diode;
(c) Identify emitter, base collector of a transistor; (C) distinguish between n-p-n
and p-n-p transistors and check whether the transistor is in working order.
3. Using a simple pendulum, plot L-T and L-T2 graphs and use it to find the
effective length of the second’s pendulum.

4. The Wave on a String simulation allows students to create their own waves
and explore wave concepts such as amplitude, frequency, damping, tension and
speed.

5. The Diffusion simulation allows students to explore how two gases mix.
Experiment with concentration, temperature, mass, and radius to determine
how these factors affect the rate of diffusion. Use the Center of Mass and
Particle Flow Rate representations to determine when the system reaches
equilibrium.

6. Make waves with a dripping faucet. Adjust frequency and amplitude, and
observe the effects. (Wave Interference)

7. To study the V-I characteristics of PN junction diodes

8. To study the characteristics of a common emitter NPN transistor.
