5. (a) Determine the largest possible domain of the following functions;

(b) (i) Given that 2𝑥 3 −2𝑥 2 + 5𝑥 − 5 = (𝑥 − 1)(2𝑥 2 + 𝐵), find the
value of B. Hence, show that 2𝑥 3 −2𝑥 2 + 5𝑥 − 5 = 0 has only

8. (a) Use the substitution 𝑦 = 5𝑥 , show that the equation
