ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
SY 2023-2024

The Career Guidance Advocacy Program (CGAP), one of the primary goals of the institution and a part of
the curriculum in all public schools, was highlighted by the Department of Education. In addition to helping
students become lifelong learners and preparing graduates for postsecondary education, middle-level skill
development, employment, and entrepreneurship, this would further provide students ample time to understand
concepts and skills. The said program seeks to raise national standards of living while developing the students to be
competitive on a global scale.

Every year, Desiderio C. Gange National High School conducted activities that supported the CGAP's
goals. Discussing the Career Guidance Modules for students in Grades 10 through 12 was one of these. The
advisers discussed each lesson and allowed the students to complete the activities on schedule that worked for
them. These modules assisted the students in identifying the skills, capabilities, and competencies required for their
chosen career path in the future.

The school also held a Career Guidance Advocacy Fair on May 15, 2024, with the topic "Navigating
Horizons: Embarking on the Journey of Infinite Possibilities." Students were encouraged to dress in accordance
with the careers they envisioned for themselves in this activity. As they walked across the school grounds, students
had the opportunity to show off their outfits. Invited visitors from various partner organizations, including the
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) were able to
impart their knowledge and skills to the students. Representatives from John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime
University were also present to give an orientation about their school for both incoming senior high school and
college students.

In conclusion, the Career Guidance Advocacy Program (CGAP) stands as a cornerstone initiative within
the educational framework, championed by the Department of Education and integrated into the curriculum of
public schools. With its multifaceted objectives of fostering lifelong learning, facilitating postsecondary education,
nurturing middle-level skill development, promoting employment, and fostering entrepreneurship, CGAP not only
equips students with essential knowledge but also instills in them the adaptability needed to thrive in a dynamic
global landscape. Desiderio C. Gange National High School's proactive approach in implementing CGAP activities,
such as the Career Guidance Module and the Career Guidance Advocacy Fair, underscores its commitment to
preparing students for successful futures. By providing structured opportunities for students to explore and cultivate
their interests, skills, and aspirations, the school ensures that its graduates are well-equipped to navigate the myriad
pathways of their chosen careers, contributing to the nation's socioeconomic development and global
competitiveness.
