PART I – BACKGROUND INFORMATION

A. Rationale of the Program/Activity

Pursuant to DM-OUCI-2021-346: Revised Implementation of Homeroom


Guidance during Crisis Situations for S.Y. 2021-2022 and DM-OUCI-
2021-347: Career Guidance Program for S.Y. 2021-2022 and in
alignment with the DepEd’s primary goal of nurturing holistically
developed Filipinos who possess self-understanding, problem-solving
skills, informed decision-making abilities, academic excellence, future
planning capabilities, and deep respect for individual differences the
school conduct HGP every Friday.

B. Objectives of the Activity:

This session aims to relate and share the lessons learned from school
and community. Determine factors in attaining success in life.

C. Expected Outcome and Results

The learners should be able to enumerate pros healthy problem-solving


methods; promote concern for others by sharing acquired skills in
solving problem; and practice responsible behaviors in responding to
one’s challenges, others and needs of the community.

D. Summary Profile of Participants

The participant of this session is Grade 8 Sakay composing of 17 male


and 16 female students.

PART II – HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY

A. Preliminary Activities

 Enumerated in the given table are possible problems/challenges


that teenagers encountered. The learners will identify solutions
and enumerate the pros (advantages) and cons (disadvantages)
for each solution to come up with an effective and healthy way of
solving problems. Ask also your parents/guardians/older siblings
what their answer for the given situation would be. Then they will
answer the questions that follow.
 Using the same method of solving problems, ask your
brother/sister/cousin/friend or anyone that you think needs your
help or has a concern. Ask what problem he/she might be facing

B. Key Learning (per module/session)

The learners will used those experiences, their experiences and from
others, to reflect what they should do if the same situation happen to
them. And they might consider the steps will help you to solve most of
the problems with ease that we discussed in this session. Make them
realized as a teenager, some challenges are happening in your life that
sometimes make you anxious. Don’t be afraid, this is part of growing up,
do not hesitate to consult your teacher, adviser, your counselor, or your
parents about these issues and concerns. The steps above will help you
find healthy solutions to problems or challenges that you may
encounter. And eventually, you will be able to help others as well,
together it will be easier.
