Algorithm:

Step 1: Create a new document.

Step 2: Type a Paragraph about yourself.

Step 3: Select the text and Use the bold, Italic and Underline options or ctrl+B,
ctrl+I, ctrl+U respectively.

Step 4: Save and close the document.

Result: Hence the document is successfully created.

2. Open a word document and type five sentences about your school, save
the file in your name and close it. Now open the document that you have
created and apply the following options.

a. Hyperlink B. Bullets and Numbering c. Page Background

Aim:

Algorithm:

Step 1: Open a new document

Step 2: Type five sentences about school.

Step 3: Select the text to be hyperlinked

Step 4: Choose insert -> Hyperlink

Step 5: Enter the address to be linked in the dialog box.


Step 6: Click ok.

Step 7: Select the lines and use the bullets and numbering icons in the name
tab.

Step 8: For inserting a page background use page layout menu  Page color
 select the desired color from the pallet

Step 9: Use File - save as and save the document with your name.

Result: Hence the document is created successfully.

3. Prepare a table for student mark list displaying five subjects mark,
total and also auto format the table.

Aim:

Step 1: Open the excel worksheet.

Step 2: Create a table.

Step 3: Select the table. Go to Hometab - Format as table icon - select the
form.

Step 4: Save and close the worksheet.

Algorithm:

Step 1: open a new Power Point Presentation

Step 2: Create the slides.

Step 3: Go to Animation menu  custom Animation  add effects option to


apply various effects.
Step 4: save and close the presentation.

Result: Hence the power Point Presentation is created successfully.

the presentation with a suitable background color and align the text
suitably and also insert pictures where ever possible.

D. Insert a new row between roll no 003 and 004 and insert a new row with the
following data in the respective columns 004 Vijaya R 31/02/1994

E. Save the file in the name “c:\\namelist.xls”

Aim: To create the given worksheet and to apply the mentioned Format.

Algorithm:

Step 1: Open a new worksheet

Step 2: Create the given table.

Step 3: Go to home tab - Paragraph group for aligning the text

Step 4: Select the date of birth column right click and select.

Format cells  numberdate Typeok.

Step 5: Right Click  Insert  Entire Row option is used to insert a new row.

Step 6: Save the file with the name list.

Step 7: close the worksheet.

Step 2: To insert a wordArt Go to insert  word art option select a word art
style

Step 3: Go to insert  picture  select the picture  ok to insert any picture

Step 4: save and close the worksheet.

Aim: To Create the given table and apply formula for the multiplication of cells.

Algorithm:

Step 1: open the worksheet

Step 2: create the given table.

Step 3: In the cell address C1 type the formula= A1*B1 and press enter the
result will be automatically displayed.

Step 4: The same formula can be dragged to the range of cells in that
column.

Step 5: save the file as “mtable5”.

Step 6: multiplication table for 10 also can also be created similarly.

Result: Hence the worksheet is created successfully.

4. Create a worksheet and format the following data:

a. Format the column “cost” with number and 2 decimal places.

b. Format the column “quantity” with number and zero decimal places.

d. Find the “Total Amount” by adding elements of the column “Total Cost”.

Aim: To Create a worksheet and apply the given formats.


Algorithm:

Step 1: open the worksheet

Step 2: create the given table

Step 3: select the cost column.

Right click format cells number  decimal places value 2 - ok

Step 4: select the quantity column

Right clickformat cellsnumberdecimal places value -0  ok

Step 5: In the cell address d1 type the formula=B1*C1 and press enter, the
result will be automatically displayed

Step 6: Total amount can be calculate with the formula= SUM(D1:D4)

Step 7: save and close the worksheet

Result: Hence the worksheet is created successfully.

5. Filter the record using Advanced Filter option for the students who
scored 80 marks and above in the Maths subject.

Aim:

To Filter the record using Advanced Filter option for the students who scored 80
marks and above in the math’s subject.

Algorithm:

Step 1: open the worksheet

Step 2: create the mark list

Step 3: Home sort and filter filter  filter. Click the dropdown list from the
respective column and select the number  greater than 80.

Step 4: students mark above 80 will be filtered.

Step 5: save and close the worksheet

Result: Hence the worksheet is created successfully.
