Welcome to 6th Grade Advanced Math! This year is

going to be great!

***Advanced math is a compacted course, which means that the

course curriculum compresses a full year and half of another year of math into a single course. Therefore,
the curriculum moves at a faster, more challenging pace. The advanced middle school courses are
intended to be a preparation for higher-level high school classes . Students enrolled in advanced courses
must recognize and understand that they will be responsible for extended academic responsibilities and
expectations, which may include a more challenging work load as well as additional skill mastery and
problem solving assignments inside and outside of class.***

Supplies: 2 composition notebooks (No spirals please!), lined paper, pencils graph
paper, 2 blue ink pens, highlighter, 2 folders with pockets & prongs.
If you are unable to provide these supplies, please email me or have your student let me
know. I will do what I can to accommodate. Replacement Math Text Book Cost $50
