Explain:
The teacher corrects the ideas from the
previous activity and explains the
concepts of freedom.
Freedom is an intrinsic and essential
property of the person. This means the
human person by nature is a free being
and that is in his or her nature to seek
FREEDOM. An important indication of
human freedom is the ability to make
choices and perform actions. The learner may also share their additional
ideas with the class.
Freedom is rooted in the human
person’s self-determination and the Freedom gives us the choice to
exercise of intellect and free will. This undertake one of the possible
means that a person’s every action is actions, it enables us to come
freely determined and these actions
define him or her. up with new choices.
Freedom also requires a degree of
control from the person who exercises it.
A person becomes freer when he or she
exercises control over himself or herself,
a person becomes less free when he or
she is no longer in control of himself or
herself and instead controlled by other
forces.
KINDS OF FREEDOM
Elaborate:
Identify and analyze the following situation.
a. Reflect on your experience and identify a moment when you believe you “had no
choice” regarding your actions or decisions, or you made a choice that you
eventually regretted. Reevaluate that situation using views on human freedom.
b. Reflect on a problem or dilemma you are currently facing. Create a graphic organizer
outlining the possible choices you can make and their corresponding consequences.
