Countable v. Uncountable

Countable nouns are the ones that can be easily counted, so they can
take the plural form.
These apples are delicious.

Uncountable nouns are the ones that you can’t count easily and, they
only take the singular form.

There is some pasta in the fridge.

● Negative and interrogative sentences


We use “any” in negative and interrogative sentences.
There aren’t any apples. / There isn’t any pasta.
Are there any apples? Yes, there are. / Is there any pasta? No,
there isn’t.
