‭Tug of War – Rules & Regulations‬

‭Team Composition‬

‭●‬ E ‭ ach team must consist of‬‭6 players on the rope at‬‭a time‬‭with‬‭up to 2 substitutes‬
‭(total max of 8 players per team).‬
‭●‬ ‭A minimum of‬‭6 players is required to start the match‬‭.‬
‭●‬ ‭Substitutions can only be made between rounds and not during an active pull.‬

‭Match Format‬

● ‭ atches will be conducted in a‬‭best-of-three‬‭format.‬
‭●‬ ‭The team that wins‬‭two out of three pulls‬‭will be‬‭declared the winner.‬
‭●‬ ‭Each round lasts until one team successfully pulls the other team past the designated‬
‭centerline.‬

‭Game Rules‬

‭1.‬ ‭Starting Position:‬


‭○‬ ‭Both teams must start with the rope centered over the‬‭midline‬‭.‬
‭○‬ ‭Teams must hold the rope‬‭with both hands‬‭, and no wrapping‬‭the rope around‬
‭the body or hands is allowed.‬
‭2.‬ ‭Victory Condition:‬
‭○‬ ‭A team wins when they pull the opposing team‬‭beyond‬‭the marked centerline‬‭.‬
‭○‬ ‭If a team falls or releases the rope, the other team is automatically declared the‬
‭winner for that round.‬
‭3.‬ ‭Footwear & Attire:‬
‭○‬ ‭Players‬‭must wear sports shoes‬‭(barefoot or spiked‬‭shoes are not allowed).‬
‭○‬ ‭Gloves are allowed but must be approved by the event organizers.‬
‭4.‬ ‭Fouls & Disqualifications:‬
‭○‬ ‭Sitting or lying down while pulling is‬‭not allowed‬‭.‬
‭○‬ ‭Players must‬‭not suddenly let go‬‭of the rope, as it‬‭can cause injury to the‬
‭opposing team.‬
‭○‬ ‭Any‬‭unsportsmanlike behavior‬‭(such as pushing, shouting‬‭in an opponent’s‬
‭ear, or obstructing movement) may result in immediate‬‭disqualification‬‭.‬
